.
Don't understand if its a PMSA ship then why is the crew wearing PN uniforms ? or are the pictures mixed up ?

.
PMSA is a branch of PN. They do not have a separate uniform. They are like rangers to Army but more closely integrated. All personal are posted from navy and after serving their term they go back to navy duties. Unlike rangers or FC where only officers are posted from Army and rest are regional trained.

. . . . .
What does the name mean?
Most probably named after the Dasht River. In Urdu dasht means both forest and desert, depends on the usage.
It is surely named after River Dasht in Baluchistan, it is confirmed.

In fact, the 4 x 600ton boats that were ordered are all to be named after rivers in Baluchistan, others being Hingol, Basol and Zhob.
