The older PNS Shushuk (S132) was a Daphné-class diesel-electric submarine, acquired from France and commissioned into the Pakistan Navy in 1970.
It served as a vital part of Pakistan's submarine fleet during a period of regional tension. The Daphné-class was known for its relatively quiet operation and effective anti-submarine warfare capabilities.
Throughout its service until decommissioning in 2006, the Shushuk played a crucial role in naval exercises and patrols, contributing to Pakistan's maritime defense posture.
