China already has FTA with Pakistan. China has access to Pakistani ports as well. Infact Pakistan owes China a lot of money for Gwadar. Not exactly. China also has access to Pakistani market which is 242 million people.
.. but that is where debt restructuring kicks in. Take new loans with lower interests from IMF, enforce austerity for a short period, pay off high interest loans with cheaper loans. This is a well known strategy for many. FDI or finding resources in the backyard can help break the cycle and Pakistan has not found either so far
Sri Lanka is in this mess because they delayed going to IMF sooner. Rajapaksa came to power with same promise as Imran - say no to IMF. Both countries were forced to talk to IMF again. Luckily for Pakistan, Imran took the u-turn a bit sooner than RajapaksaJust ask Sri Lanka how that strategy worked out for them....

Are you a Pakistani? Are you a Muslim? What would you know about Pakistan? lol.China already has FTA with Pakistan. China has access to Pakistani ports as well. Infact Pakistan owes China a lot of money for Gwadar.
I can see two things that Pakistan can do for China.
1) Pay back Chinese loans with interest and become profitable for Chinese companies that operate in Pakistan. This is not easy given Pakistan's current macroeconomic and political stability issues.
2) Start a war with India. This is more achievable and China will not care about Pakistan's loans in this scenario
You can know more than me about Pakistan. But that fact does not rationally challenge my opinion on the topicAre you a Pakistani? Are you a Muslim? What would you know about Pakistan? lol.
Don't give your opinion based on your limited information.
I know more about Pakistan than you could possibly imagine.
This will only happen if Xinjiang and Pakistan become as industrialized as Eastern China, this will take a lot time but it can happen. For an Indian you asked a good question.
Pakistan can offer China Gwadar and Karachi ports.
Bypassing the Malacca straits. This gives China a huge advantage.
Going over treacherous himaliyan terrain and road journey? I doubt it can replace mellaca strait. About 25% of entire world's shipment goes via that narrow strait. I doubt a mountain road can even attempt to replace it especially with things like oil.Pakistan can offer China Gwadar and Karachi ports.
Lol what a moron you are. China also has to go through the treacherous Pamir mountain range to reach Central Asian Republics.Going over treacherous himaliyan terrain and road journey? Not to mention it passes way near to hostile territory.
China anyways has a path to central Asia and Europe via Russia.
As far as India goes, for China, India is not a big enough threat anymore.
China is not pakistan's mommy. What will China gain by focusing so much on Pakistan?
Wow what a bloody Indiot you are.China is not pakistan's mommy. What will China gain by focusing so much on Pakistan?
