Absolutely. Minimum detterence approach is outdated in the current scenario. We need to look well beyond minimum detterence. We don't have to announce our capabilities, but we need to have them at all cost.

there is a lot of lethargy in the 'deep state'. all the while they were playing 'war of terror' on Muslim countries. Behind the scenes Russia bounced back from post soviet crash to once again building its industrial strength to soviet times. China is reaching new peak's of globalisation OBOR is the face of it.

You suddenly dont hear about war of terror like you once did anymore and its because they underestimated Russia and China. The last elections were all about Russophobia and some imaginary hacking.

I had a good talk with an Uzbek friend of mine, and he told me a similar sentiment that people were thirsty for Islam and the nearest Islamic country they can see are Afghanistan and most importantly Pakistan.

Russia used Central Asian dictators to keep religion out of the republics, but slowly religion came back and there is not mu h which can be done to counter it but heavy-handedness, which has also failed.
