FIFA World Cup 2018: Pakistan provides millions of Most High Tech Footballs in World

FIFA will use sensor-equipped footballs in the upcoming world cup that have been manufactured in Pakistan.

The biggest footballing event that keeps people at the edge of their seats is going to be a technological marvel. As we reported earlier, the official match balls for this world cup have been manufactured in Pakistan. What makes these balls different from the conventional ones is that technology has been used to revolutionize how the game is played.

The footballs will be equipped with sensor chips with Near Field Communication (NFC) tech that will be connected to a smartphone. The chips don’t really need a special Adidas app to work. You just need to enable NFC on your phone and have the ultimate personalized content experience.

Telstar and the Chip

Adidas is bringing back it’s iconic Telstar ball that was Adidas’ first-ever and used in a FIFA world cup in 1970. The ball is called Telstar 18 and you already know it is manufactured in Pakistan. The ball is thermally bonded, meaning heat instead of stitches was used to patch the pieces. Telstar’s seamless surface is designed to ensure precise ball control and reduce water absorption as well.

The embedded chips will help provide the users with personalized content and interaction with the global community. Fans can also upload their videos doing challenges using the Telstar 18 as different competitions will be announced later on. The technology isn’t as sophisticated as Adidas micoach Smart Ball that gives information like curl and pass speed, shot power etc. but it works just fine considering its an NFC debut match ball.

We should follow on the lines of China where they hired coaches from Spain to train their young football players to enhance the sport. We have some amazing talent particularly from the NE and Southern states but it is a pity that both Indians and Pakistanis don't admire any other sport apart from the lazy game called Cricket

I'm not aware of the African slave population but we can use our actual population and make wonders. Other Asian countries like South Korea and Japan are doing exceptionally well in football and I guess we could be on par with them by establishing proper training and support structures. To achieve this, we should divert our addiction for cricket and start encouraging other sports where parents play a crucial role.

Its a shame bro. imagine the amount of money FIFA can generate from India and Pakistan, given the population and wealth size...even hundred thousand population poor countries in middle east have international standards teams y not Pakistan and India.

I am seeing a lot of football clubs in Lahore, but unfortunately the government and the sports bodies need to go grassroots in India and Pakistan to make international level footballers.

Its a shame bro. imagine the amount of money FIFA can generate from India and Pakistan, given the population and wealth size...even hundred thousand population poor countries in middle east have international standards teams y not Pakistan and India.

I am seeing a lot of football clubs in Lahore, but unfortunately the government and the sports bodies need to go grassroots in India and Pakistan to make international level footballers.

Even if FIFA wanted to get a foothold of the sporting scenario in South Asia, Our BCCI and your PCB wouldn't let that happen and will do anything in their might to prevent other sports creeping into the mindsets of regular population as cricket is the highest revenue generating sport and BCCI/PCB wouldn't wanna loose all that money and kickbacks.

We built the Budh International Circuit which has been designed by the best racetrack designer Hermann Tilke but just after one F1 season, GoI imposed super high taxes on the sport for which F1 skipped India for the upcoming seasons ever since. BCCI knows there are a lot of fans in India for the sport and there should've been a pressure from them and also GoI & GoP should take measures on the lines of China in terms of encouraging sports and the conventional mindset of parents who expect their kids to become doctors or engineers should change in the first place

Attitude & culture should change coaches make no difference. Hockey has a foreign coach but has it improved anything ?
