Pakistan had enough of war against terrorism: Sherry Rehman

ISLAMABAD: Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Sherry Rehman has said that Pakistan has done enough for the war against terrorism and urged on world community to stop pressurizing Pakistan, further.

While responding to questions late here on Tuesday along with Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in foreign office, she said that the Government was fighting against the militants and extremists elements at all fronts and Pakistan had done enough in the war against terrorism and "for God’s sake stop pressurizing Pakistan, further."

Regarding the under house arrest of Dr. Qadeer, she said that his detention was not a god omen for the country and further measures regarding this issue were underway.

i hope they make the world listen....
lik Sir Muradk said,
u dont demand respect, u command respect!!!

So Pakistan is getting ready to surrender. I'm a bit surprised. Obama said during his campaign that U.S. troops would have to invade Pakistan to eliminate terror, because the Pakistanis just weren't up to the job. It was McCain who contended that Pakistainis had the guts to fight. Looks like Obama was right and McCain wrong.

Pakistan has done more than any country in the world in this war against terror. More Pakistani civilians have been killed in this war than the number of Americans killed in 9/11. Pakistan's economy has suffered a lot because of this war, Pakistan lost billions because of this war. What does the world want from Pakistan?

U.S. must give Pakistan the aid it deserves. Pakistan is a nation, and like any other nation it has to put its own nation first before anyone else's.

Very respectfull of her to point out PA is doing enough though it would be very wise not to make peace deals with terrorists in the future.

Then why doesn't Pakistan take it more seriously, rather than as a convenient means to drain America of billions of dollars, spending only a fraction of the funds as promised? Seems to me that the War on Terror has become a convenient means to enrich government officials and their friends. With that kind of approach, is it any wonder Pakistan is suffering so?

We are taking this war very seriousally, its about time NATO starts taking this war seriousally. Its about time they actually put an effort in trying to dismantle the insurgency in Afghanistan, and please dont give me the usual bu** **** that they regroup in tribal areas. Taliban control a huge portion of land in Afghanistan, controling the urban core does not means control of Afghanistan. As far as money is concerned, we have lost more money than what has been paid to us(do some research). Pakistan is the biggest victim of war on terror; we have lost more infrastructure, money and especially more people than any other nation in this world. So its about time you stop with your usual bull sh** and get some works done yourself.

Most of Pakistan is sick to death of this war against a noun. The religious pakistanis see it as a war against Islam. The patriotic pakistanis see it as an attack on pakistan by pakistan itself which can result in a civil war that splits the country. Some in the military see it as an attack on Pakistan by foreign sponsored terrorists and separatists. The way it is being fought is designed to make things worse not better and this has been seen by everyone in Pakistan for the last 8 years. And everyone now knows that it was based on the biggest lie of the 21st century. Sherry Rehman hasn't even touched the tip of the iceberg, nor is she able to do so as a "politically correct" politician.

Definitely a sign of vociferation from Mrs. Sherry Rahman. It shows the fraustration on part of the GOP as well as militarily of dealing with current situation at hand. The terrorist are gaining a upperhand in Pakistan and it has become a worrisome senario.

With the increasing troop in the Afganistan in near future will help the region, but only towards the afganistanie side, but the Pakistanie side will still remain a big question mark. With such show of fraustration will become GOP worest nightmare, which is isolation.
