Islamabad—We always value the sufferings of Pakistan being the front line state against the war against terrorism. We are with you in your happiness and sorrows. I very much like the culture, heritage and people of Pakistan. Pakistan is the land of colorful ancient histories and centre of diversified heritages.

We have been enjoying excellent diplomatic bilateral relations between the two countries. We have trustworthy political relations and now we are adding more technical cooperation to further strengthen our ties. Its people are peace loving and educated. Moreover, staying in Pakistan is just like stay at home.

This was stated by Ambassador of Egypt Majdy Amir in a meeting with President Pakistan Muslim League and Chairman Senate Foreign Relations Committee Senator Salim Saifullah Khan. Salim Saifullah Khan said that two ways trade between Pakistan and Egypt was far below than the desired level to tap the existing potential. He appreciated that, Egypt ranked first in North Africa and second best destination for FDI in the African continent for 2009-2010. He said that both the countries had potential to improve trade relations, however, measures should be taken to facilitate regular business to business interactions between entrepreneurs of the two countries.—AFP

320 million vry low..

we need atleast 2 bn with egypt and 10bn with turkey and 20-30Bn with china..

320 Millions is indeed very low

I think -

I think partially its our government's fall as they do not have initiatives to help promote sales to 2-10 billion range agressively

320mn is just a token amount..Egy has a vast potential for our industrial goods as their own production sux at this..also air conditioners and gas fired generators are big in demand.

If we need to penetrate in to Arabian market we need to start teaching Arabic in schools.
We need to start developing social contacts on people to people basis and look beyond Egypt... e.g. Libya, Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania etc.

I think if we solve our Energy short fall , our next goal should be expansion of our National Exports to 200-400 billion range

Lets not forget in 70's we were ahead of all these nations Korea or Japan or others etc it was only after the 70's we started seeing that our economic sector started to errord due to policy and government changes and obviously marshal law

I read it on numerous ocassions that analysts used to visit Pakistan and its business processes to learn from them back in 70's of course we also had Bangladesh's income as extra revenue too so things were good for us

Have faith and hope for a better Pakistan! Inshallah we will be there about which our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAWW had said that muje Hind se Khushboo aati hai.

I think we need to promote our products extensively. We do not have a very skilled set up who could promote our products to middle east, europe, africa and even our neighbours Kazakhstan, Turk nations etc. otherwise we have huge potential in our country.

I personally think with the population we have and resources available, we must have bilateral trade worth:

1) China = 30 Billion dollars
2) Saudi Arabia: 10 billion dollars
3) UAE: 10 billion dollars
4) rest of Arab Nations: 2 billion dollars
5) Malaysia: 10 billion dollars
6) South Korea: 5 billion dollars
7) USA: 20 billion dollars
8) EU: 20 - 30 billion dollars
9) Africa: 10 billion dollars

hey hey hey time to wake up

Australia waghera ka apni marzi se likh lo :D
