Pakistan didn't take part in Soviet-Afghan war but faced the burnt of it: Janjua

Afghan war was curse on Pakistan.............

Afghan war was just another war... facts tells death of Zia ul Haq was curse for Pakistan.

The double game was actually quite dramatically exposed in Abbottabad with the OBL raid. Can the NSA explain why Pakistan did that in spite of claiming to be part of the US led alliance? Just one instance for example.

Would you not ask US for proof of OBL presence, the way you ask proof of Kulbhoshan's admission?
Did US provided consular access to OBL, they way you demand for Kulbhoshan?
This is open hypocrisy !

"We are accused of playing a double game. But if we are supporting the Afghan Taliban, why would the Pakistani Taliban be standing against us today?"

Still need an answer :o::cuckoo:
The answer is they felt betrayed after Musharraf turned on them (but not completely) under US pressure after 9/11.

.
Do you people ever read beyond the headline?

"Had we not supported Afghanistan back then, would the country still be standing?" the NSA asked, adding that if Pakistan had instead provided Russia with a "passageway", America may not have been "the only superpower" in the world today.
Read? None of them knows how to read.........

To my understanding, the thought process back then was that after Afghanistan the USSR was going to go after Pakistan, they had already significantly helped India in 1971 and they wanted Bangladesh to become a socialist state so they can have a base there. For Pakistan it was also seen as a chance to get revenge for 71. And if you recall that it was the soviets that were instrumental in helping Afghanistan in destabilising Balochistan in the 70's. But what's done is done. No point in saying "what ifs" decades later.

If you listen to Yuri Bezmenov, he explains the USSRs grand plan for India and Pakistan.

OBL seems more planted drama. Where whole scenario exposed after helicopter crash. Otherwise everything went smooth. According to mutual plan.

Their was no double-game in the matter of Osama Bin Laden.

Scores of militants had infiltrated Pakistani cities (including Abbottabad) to escape attention of authorities and/or to destabilize the country. Take a tour of Durand Line and you will understand how militants manage to slip through at times.

Moreover, it takes time to find an individual who had (local) facilitators and also had cut himself off from technological wonders of the world in order to minimize the 'set of clues' that might lead relevant authorities to his doorstep one fine day. It is like trying to identity a needle in the haystack.

ISI - alone - could not achieve a breakthrough in search for OBL due to a number of factors. It cannot account for corruption within the state and neither it can make-up for ineptness of police. Additionally, ISI was preoccupied with state-wide crackdown of terrorists and nabbing them and could not afford to invest a major chunk of its resources in search for a single terrorist. Sooner or later, ISI might have knocked on the doorstep of the raided compound as well. Who knows? Professionalism - alone - is not good enough.

CIA has global clout and enormous set of resources at its disposal, to do its bidding. It could afford to invest a huge chunk of resources in search for OBL besides other stuff.

ACR reveals that CIA and ISI had been actively cooperating in the hunt for OBL during the period 2001 - 2005. This cooperation ended when Obama administration came to power. For some reason, Barack Obama had a negative perception about Pakistan and Leon Panetta assured the administration that CIA has the capacity to get things done on its own.

Janjua sorry don't lie we did the world stupid thing still we are facing it's effect after 30 years

.
We dont need to make any explaination about wars occured just alongside our border. We just have to care of our national intrests and security.

No need of explaining or justifying anything to the indians... their little imperial project in AF has come crashing down. Pak is still standing...that is all that should matter. The indian sponsored terror has made Pak stronger!

What is the need of the Hour is to get your act together so that Pak would not be facing the blunt of 2nd AF war for next 30 years. That is all that matters.

Will Pak get the credit for being instrumental in creating multipolar world order or just pay the price in life and treasure like the 1st AF war?

The fundamental question that the Pak State and ruling elites (business, feudal and political) need to ask:

What is Pak? Where they want Pak to be in next 30 years?

The rest is just distraction at best.

That Pak is located in geography that is of interest to all great powers and that Pak is cursed with an enemy most hineous and cunning... all needs to be factored in planning and execution of national strategy of Pak Revival.

CPEC is a gamechanger ONLY if Pak State and Pak elites turn it into a gamechanger.

Time for Pak to take charge of its own Destiny.

Yes, there is infernal corruption.

Yes, there is desparate need of investement in social development and real education.

And yes, this is an extremely daunting task...but development and progress are never given...they have to be earnd!

Be the best versions of yourself.

Do justice to your thousands of years old lineage and Civilisation.

Focus on your Heritage and define yourself with courage.

You have a great future. Only YOU can sabbotage it.

Long Live a Strong, Educated and Prosperous Pakistan!

actually I don't have to. US has lot more credibility. US can also make mistakes but there is a huge difference in what US is and what Pak is.
