Wouldn't take anything these guys say too seriously as these are the same people who vehemently proclaimed that Pakistan would NEVER EVER become a nuclear weapons state with or without Chinese assistance.

If he really believed what he said then one should question & ask him what happened after mumbai 2008 and uri 2016? That too when india is at least 7x bigger than us and has abundant access to the world's most advanced weapons systems whilst we are denied this privilege .

Then answer my question, IF what you say above is true then why was india so impotent, powerless and weak to do anything to Pakistan after mumbai 2008 and uri 2016? All indians are going to do is make a list of all the weapons they are purchasing from the West and Russia and why it makes them militarily powerful. Then do NOTHING when and where it matters.....lol.......

The PAF airbases are striking distance of Indian short range missiles. Unlike India, they do not have the luxury of strategic depth. They are at the borders. Either they are in the air in the event of war or never going to get airborne. The PAF is probably the asset that Pakistan least requires. National pride puts it on a pedestal. But realistically, its the most useless arm of the military. The Army, Navy have a better chance against India in war. PAF should really focus on peacetime operations and counter terror operations. Which they have adapted accordingly. Although, use of air power against domestic insurgents is debatable. No one likes bombs being dropped over their heads, especially if they are citizens of that country. Pakistan really has a good PR campaign to fight the morality of the issue.
Also, the JF-17 could make use of those F-7 shelters they built saving them money, and reduce damage in case of a conflict.

Previous wars have proven that the PAF doesn't go on the offensive like the IAF does. The PAF will not "cripple" the IAF. The Pakistani army has a better chance with their missiles. India has a lot of SAM systems unlike Pakistan. BVR long range fighters. In order for the PAF to do well against its opponent like the IAF, Pakistan would have to be the first nation to attack. A preemptive attack like it did in 1965 and 1971. Infact judging by history, Pakistan always plans on the preemptive attack. India always manages regardless. The missiles however will deal with the airbases. Means Pakistan will have a tough fight. A quick, limited war would see technology being utilized. This is were PAF can obtain the upper hand. However, the long range Su-30's India has can do a lot of damage. They are both long range beyond Pakistans reach for the most part, and have very large payloads. So unless Pakistan cripples the IAF Flankers, I don't think IAF will be crippled.
