ISLAMABAD, Nov 7 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that Pakistan attached special importance to its relations with the United Arab Emirates. The Prime Minister was talking to Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, who called on him here. Also present during the meeting were Ishaq Dar Minister for Finance, Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs and Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister. During the meeting, views on bilateral and regional matters were exchanged. The Prime Minister reaffirmed the importance Pakistan attached to brotherly relations with the UAE.
On the bilateral plane, the Prime Minister highlighted the excellent relations between Pakistan and UAE, marked by growing trade as well as close cooperation in the multilateral fora.
The Prime Minister said that the UAE hosts a large Pakistani community, which is making positive contribution to the development of UAE and is sending remittances supporting Pakistan’s economy as well.
The UAE’s Foreign Minister reiterated the commitment of the UAE Government to further strengthening ties between the two governments and its people.
