Wana—Operational Commander, Maj Gen Asim Salim Bajwa visited different areas of South Waziristan and inspected various ongoing development projects initiated by Pak-army for socio-economic development of tribal people.


He also inspected gigantic Jandola-Makeen road, water schemes and other ongoing projects and appreciated keen interests taken by military and political administration in its quality and durability.

The General expressed hope that the projects would be completed as early as possible without compromising on quality and would bring very positive changes in lifestyle of tribesmen.


Bajwa on this occasion congratulated tribesmen on auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitre and distributed gifts and sweets among children.

The tribal elders including Dilawar Khan, Ali Marjan Mehsud, Khayal Mehsud who recently returned to their hometown Kotkai from DI Khan and Tank IDPs camps highly appreciated the construction and extension of Jandola-Makeen Road and other highways that would open up South Waziristan Agency for development and trade and investment activities would be accelerated once completed.

Extending full support to army and political administration, the tribal elders expressed the hope of initiation of such more projects in Federally Administered Tribal Areas
