JAMMU/NEW DELHI: A BSF jawan, who went missing from a forward area along the India-Pakistan international border in Jammu early on Tuesday, was found dead, officials said.
They said the head constable rank jawan is suspected to have been hit by a fatal sniper shot from across the border.

I am not sure how a soldier gone missing as a result of sniper fire across the border! Would be interesting to know the circumstances.

The Indians as usual started firing on our positions and when Pakistan Army returned fire, hitting the Indian soldier, the rest of them most probably fled the area. In earlier reports the Indians were saying ''the missing soldier was most likely hit by Pakistani fire''.....so they knew well.

We call it bulls eye head shot, sniper was that far even other soldiers fails to hear gun fire...probably shot taken from 300 to 500 meters away.....good work boy...

In earlier reports the Indians were saying ''the missing soldier was most likely hit by Pakistani fire''.....so they knew well.

Why not they declare it suicide this time? probably suicide quota was over for this month.

Indian snipers were taking out our men---. One time a swedeish major is standing next to a pakistani captain on the LOC kashmir and suddenly the pak officer's head blows up and brains all over the swedish officer's body---.

The shot is taken from a 1000 yards and the pak military general complains to the UN---.

What I am saying is---the sipers shoot from both sides---just because you don't hear it---does not mean that pak soldiers don't die off indian sniper's shots---.

Sniper kills is not a glorious subject to talk about---.

Indeed soldiers from both sides die on LOC but when was the last time you heard Pakistan Army trying to capitalise on the dead soldiers as those across the border often create hysteria and this time is no exception.
