Afghan Ambassador Janan Mosazai on Tuesday briefed Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on latest development on CASA-1000 electricity transmission project.
CASA 1000 is a joint project between Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrghizstan.
During a meeting in Islamabad, he said the Afghan side has a strong commitment to the project and intends to move forward on the project.
The Finance Minister said Pakistan has an earnest desire to forge stronger bonds with Afghanistan. He underlined the need for working on fast track to move ahead on regional connectivity.
Finance Minister hoped a reasonable transit fee will be agreed upon by the Afghan side in order to forge ahead.
