Pak livid over UN group's report on 'enforced disappearances' in country - Yahoo! News India

Islamabad, Oct. 13 (ANI): Pakistan is reportedly miffed at a UN working group report released last month, which cast light on the enforced disappearances in the country, a senior foreign ministry official has said.

"We have serious reservations on some parts of the report which will be communicated to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) through diplomatic channels," the official told The Express Tribune on the condition of anonymity.

The official claimed that many of the details given in the report are 'unacceptable' to Pakistan.
"Most of its parts are merely ridiculous and based on wild allegations against army, law enforcement institutions and intelligence agencies levelled by irrelevant and irresponsible individuals who do not possess evidence matching international standards of justice to prove their charges," he said.

A major reservation Pakistan has against the report is the number of missing persons in Balochistan, the paper said.

"Pakistan totally disagrees with the UN group's finding that 14,000 persons are still missing in Balochistan... the numbers of missing persons are highly exaggerated, objectionable and challengeable," the official said, adding that the report had failed to take Pakistan's stated policy on the army's role in Balochistan as well.

The 10-page report, prepared by the UN working group after its 10-day visit to Pakistan last month, accused members of Pakistan security and Intelligence agencies of violating human rights all over the country during the last 23 years, the paper added. (ANI)

14000 is just a claimed number. The real number of people missing in Balochistan is much hugher.. Poor people are paying the price for the wrong decision of Khan of kalat..

I wonder how many of these 14000 poor souls wer kidnapped and killed by the BLA terrorists supported my the Indian RAW.Some days back Aeronaut had posted the video of how BLA terrorists were dressed in FC uniform killing the Poor balochis.Indians are very experienced at this game.IA kill maim poor kashmiris,pick them in the middle of the night and kill them in fake encounters and blame those killings on kashmiri freedom fighters thats the main reason india has been opposing the DNA testing of mass graves in kashmir.

More funny is the fact that Indian PM himself accepted the indian interventions in balochistan at S-e-S joint declaration but pdf Indians still seems to live in their la-la land of supel-powel india.

Its another thing that GOP never endorsed the Group visit.Their movements were restricted and the report was made sat in some hotel..and i dont think GOP will give any flying damn about what they say..

I dont agree with all these claims that ISI is kidnapping balochis when there is evidence available about it on video regarding who is doing it.its just to malign ISI and PA.

So your question itself is wrong.but than let me answer it anyway...

I dont agree with what india and RAW is doing in Balochistan by kidnapping and killing poor balochis and putting the blame on ISI/PA.

@Aeronaut...can you please post that video again so that indian themselves see the evidence from their own eyes.

You can provide all the moral diplomatic support to balochistan in same manner as pakistan provides moral and diplomatic support to kashmiris,150 million muslims of india and tribal and maoist and all those who are oppressed by tyrant delhi regime.
