IF the IAF is given the GREEN LIGHT to bomb Pakistani Terror camps ARE PAF capable of stopping them.

AND are the PAF able to BOMB IAF sites in response.

MY OPINION the pakistanis though highly trained and well motivated and very poorly equipped.

NO WAY CAN THEY STOP IAF with their current line ups,.

PAFS Best warplane is a F16 block 15 which has a APG66 radar and SPARROW missle with range of 40 miles max. These planes are due a MLU in 2 years time.

Theres only 38 fighters.

PAF has 170 CHINEASE F7 but these have no BVR ONLY PL9 WVR AAM max range 15km

thes rest is over 150 miragr 3/5 These are from 1970S VINTAGE with magic AAM and some matra BVR WITH RANGE OF 40KM.

THE PAF have no advanced SAM system like s300 or patriot and no AWACS.

-----------------------------------------------------------

IAF have a very large AIR FORCE with over 300 BVR capable fighters.

80 x SU30 MKI R27/R77 BVR missles radar tracks at 200km and missles engage at 100km

70 x mig29 = R27 R77 & KYPO RADAR trackes at 60km

120 mig21 BISON ditto to MIG29

51 mirage 2000 x MATRA 530D tracks at 80km AAM engages at 40km

over 250 JAGUARS & MG27 strike planes

IAF also have over 30 SAM batteries from SAM 3 SAM 8 SAM 16 & S300 & AKASH sam SYSTEM.

I THINK THE PAF will lose any air battle they have no BVR CAPABLE FIGHTER.

I have decided to quickly burst the bubble of "el Nino" who seems to think he is some kind of expert.

A) Pakistan has the AIM120 in it's inventory since the beginning of this year probably about a third of the inventory ordered. SO thats quite a few missiles. So thats AIM-120 AND the SD-10 you forgot on the JF-17's.........

B)the ranges you quote for those missiles are ALLLLLLLL wrong...the R-77 has a range of 80 Km and thats a kinematic range. It's NEZ is much smaller.
The AIM120 C5 has a range of 105KM thats for a lobbed trajectory rather than a high alt drop in a head on engagement . Hence the NEZ will undoubtedly be longer.
Conclusion.....If Indian aircraft decide to come into PAK airspace they will have a pretty hot time of it from the F-16's (you haven't been paying attention but the numbers are slightly higher than 38 matey.......)and JF-17's

c)There are more than enough ground defences to take on any incursions.....there are enough ground based radars. India does not have any AWACS yet either sunshine....Also the migs AND sukhois have a poor serviceability record...I doubt highly that that number would be in the air...in fact I doubt half of them would be.....(hence the MRCA tender)

Sheesh seriously do some research!
