PAF Engineers In China - The Co-Developers Of Thunder!

.
Pak folks are literally going to China to acquire knowledge!!!! No wonder they're vying for FGAF etc., whereas India is trying to do tricks with FATF etc. It is amazing that China and Pak are sharing this much of trade secrets and benefiting each other!!! Indeed they're iron brothers....

Bir sonraki projede Türkiye de bir parçası olacak

Tell US embassy to move to smaller office move them near "GOBAR" farm
That ain't happening ever. If that ever happens, US will quietly threaten to seize NS's and Zardari's assets in the US as ill gotten wealth and will also force its two lap poodles England and India to do the same. NS and Zardari both know it too well. There are good reasons why west has such a free hand in Pakistan during PPP and PMLN rules.

We need the JF17 battle tested so that we can improve it more and more to meet the demands and requirements of PAF.

Kitne ki shart lagani hai ke barabar wali beghairat qaum phir bhi jhoot bolein ge @Dazzler

Its not pride or jealousy that compels them but pure hate
Yara I have a friend who was at Cranfield doing Aeronautical engineering. There have been a lot of PAF engineers who have done their masters or PHDs from Cranfield. The point is this is what we know. What is there that we do not know is the exciting bit.
PAF will not just go out and announce a fifth genration programme without the manpower available to take it through. Surely there will be generous amounts of help from friendly hands but there has to be a core to develop facilities od such order. The only worry I have is as the facilities develop the fat cats from the cor es aill use it as a cash cow to get lucrative jobs for themselves and their children amd the productivity will go to Zilch. Let us hope not. PAF has generally maintained reasobable standards so lets hope it continues in the same vein.

I know of one who did Masters at the USAF Institute of Technology. He was on the pioneering team on the JF-17 in 1997 with the Chinese team. He left right after it, joined NASA and is currently the head of an aerospace engineering department at a university in the United States.

PAF does send engineers abroad for further academics....but there is no different if you get qualified...the idea is to get educated. You get educated, you can do wonders (and preferably in a team)....you get qualified, and that is best for yourself solely (which happens frequently amongst Pakistanis....grab 1st place for a medal on the wall). From what I saw recently at PAC, that a lot of engineers knew their stuff academically but very little practical applications. And complete lack of passing on knowledge to the younger generation(s), who are basically the future to the country's air force.....

I cant agree with you more. People have a tendency to be looking for a job in Foreign land even though it is the PAF that sends them. The tendency of not passing down the skills set is also generally true. I dont know what goes through their minds. But it is a trend which needs to change.

As one of these "naysayers", I want to say that I've never doubted PAF presence in Chengdu for inputs as the sole customer and also this excerpt from the article:

Learning and cooperation is a more effective way to improve working thoughts and methods. During the implementation of the JF-17/FC-1 program, China has sent out numerous experts to assist the PAF with manufacturing and staff training. Now, the manufacturing base for the 3rd generation fighter has been established in Pakistan and the airframe and main avionics equipment of the JF-17/FC-1 can be assembled, tested, and manufactured in Pakistan. Therefore, the Pakistani people have realized their dream of being able to produce modern aviation products.

Meanwhile, plenty of Pakistani engineers and technicians have come to China for work and study. The AVIC-PAF Officer Development Program (APOD) has trained many high-level officials from the PAF. Those officials from the headquarters, military bases and combat troops of the PAF come to learn the most advanced aviation technology and modern enterprise management concepts. Their visits to the first-class aviation enterprises and research institutions help them gain insight into the development of China’s aviation industry and China’s profound culture. The study and visits also enhance the PAF’s confidence and capabilities in practice, as well as the mutual understanding between CATIC and the PAF. This cooperative mode is strengthened and improved with the process of constant exchange and communication.

Very commendable cooperation that deserves "thunderous applause".
But why go beyond these claims!
