Some members claim that Pakistan producing 25 AC per year ????

And funny thing is that their sources are reliable and within Karma where those peoples are ???

25 will be the FRP from 2014 onwards - till then Kamra will produce 12-15 a/c per year and China will also produce the required numbers to reach the 150 a/c target. so for 2 agreements for 50 (Kamra) and 50 (china) have been signed.

so lets chill and see what happens

Great information. I got the answer here from a question asked somewhere else about the size of current fleet of JF-17; seems No. 26 Squadron Black Spiders and No. 16 Squadron Black Panthers are equipped with these latest birds.

.
THIS IS WHY PEOPLE ARE SO CONFUSED re PAF purchases.

people putting 2 + 2 = 9 SYNDROME.

Thunder entered service 2009

PAF has 26-30 OPERATIONAL thunders according to most sources OR 2 sqds offically.

LAST week PAF declared first PAK assembled thunder arrives IE LAST WEEK ie sept 2011

TODAY we here 26 thunders have been built BY PAKISTAN.

----------------------

on top of this theres suppose to be this EMERGENCY SUPPLY OF 50 THUNDERS a story started in MAY 2011 on this forum. 4 months later NOTHING HAPPENS

" OUR HEADS ARE SPINNING " does anybody really know the truth.

There some decent amount of development going on the JF-17s....you can check the relevant thread for that........JF-17 BLK2 is already under tests.........Radar...engines...missiles...it is a continuous process............

Hopefully, the engines will also be manufactured by Pakistan in the near future.

Since we may not have enough manpower to manufacture the engines for the exported aircrafts, instead it keeps relying on the Russian engines.

In order of stop relying on the Russian engines on the exported aircrafts, it is necessary to make a TOT of WS-13 to Pakistan. Since our primary goal is to help Pakistan to become self-sufficient in its domestic aircraft industry.

I think i read somewhere that PAC was pushing for future licensed production of engines for JFT at Kamra.

Lets hope Kamra and govt policy makers see the benefit of expanding the industrial base with offering subcontracts - for instance, specs contracts for the assemblies like the landing gear with a particular department in Kamra responsible for a QA/QC inspections at various stages of the process, from start to end -- such a policy will not only allow for the profitable creation of specialized industrial know how, but also help create the infrastructure to support further, even more sophisticated design and manufacturing process of other future projects.

The Achilles heel for this type of progress is going to be metallurgy and advanced composites.

Yes, possibly, but as long as Pakistani industry is open to cooperation, there are plenty of solutions - honestly I am more worried that they will follow a very centralized model and not see the benefit in a diverse, widely diffused industrial capability and ingenuity

Oh I agree. Pakistani style mismanagement, both civil and military, has a truly abysmal record of killing off any worthwhile projects.

Hopefully, i think we should let Pakistan working on WS-13, meanwhile we can focus on WS-15 and other jet engines for the large cargo/jetliner.

Anyone with a photo or video showing more of the that blue information poster above the hardware?

Thanks.

.
Well we had 2 squadrons , back in Febuary , 18 x 2 = 32 , and since then we must have assembled at least 10 more planes

Plus the Chinese 50 that we are to get with in 2011 !!!

50+32 would be a great enhancement !!! for Pakistani Airfoce

.
AZAD,

where r these 50 thunders you keep banging about.

THERE ARE ONLY 2 SDQS.

50+ 32 = 82 which should equal 5 sqds.

THE BOOK SAYS 2 OPERATIONAL SDQS TODAY as we speak.

AND THE 6 MONTHS ARE NEARLY UP
