Overcoming our failed strategy in Afghanistan

Pakistan is an important country and that is understood. You haven't supported what are the issues that Pakistan is looking to hide? Is it support of Taliban? By what means? Ammunition? (Which we are already short of and worried about being consumed excessively against insurgency?) Money (Are we not short of it for our own use?) Intelligence? (Is America and NATO sharing their attack plans with Pakistan?) Political Support? (are Taliban a political entity?). Pakistan and Afghanistan has been living as border-less states and people of two countries are families and have religious bonding. This is somewhat the same relation that makes People in Pakistan restless for the Muslim massacre in India. Now would you blame Government of Pakistan for its support of Muslim sufferers?

No not at all.. I guess i mis-interpreted your point in the previous post...What i was trying to say is that Pakistan cannot be simply ignored in Afghanistan even though it is a third world country...Apologies for that..

Yes i am aware of the fact...To me yes this is in your interest..Though my POV goes to the extent of not having any support for so called anti-india groups like LET etc but lets not go into it...Leave me with my POV

then yes, by every means possible yes. The most we are expected to do on Pakistan-Afghan issue is to "cut the communication lines" between Pashtoons in Pakistan and Afghanistan and that is what we are doing. Rest it is an American war either won or lost, our National Interests rely on not offending any fraction in Afghanistan and protecting our country from the people who are Anti Pakistani.

Yes it is in Pak's intereset to do so...but that's what my point was..there is no country that budge when it comes to National interests...Now when it comes to expectations..i guess they are much more than just cutting the supply lines...dont want to go into that as it would derail the thread

Let me try and clarify my point...i want to say that presently pakistan economy is in bad shape(you yourself have pointed that as well)...now why would Pak will spend more money in joining the war on terror for US and not fully compensated for it....

You are acting too innocent here. When TTP in its entirety is anti Pakistani, this interests India and other anti-Pakistan factors. After all why is India so eager to invest in Afghanistan when its own population is sleeping on roads and dieing with AIDS. What are the Indian interests in Afghanistan that are more important than feeding the hungry? I would love to know your defense for 26 consulates in Afghanistan.

This is where we disagree.... Insecure pakistan is a nightmare for india...as far as india eager to invest in Afghanistan...well we want to increase our influence there...when it comes to feeding the hungry i won't ask you your age but will give you an explanation...we have enough policies and money for their upliftment but like your country we are also struggling with corruption...not even 10% of what is intended for their progress reach them..it is not like we are taking money from then and giving it to afghan...

People in Afghanistan are not Anti-Pakistani but there are Northern Alliance who differ the rest on that. So who ever is more in number will be influential and decide whether Afghanistan is backyard of Pakistan or not. But is that a matter of interest to India anyway?

Are you saying people in Afghan are anti-india??? ...Also who is northern alliance..arent they afghan too??? Taliban was anti-india and Norther-aliiance is pro-india...and i agree who is in more number will decide it is backyard of pak or not..and yes it is very much in india's interest not to let that happen
