It was quite evident in 2016 from the market share of smartphones being shipped to Indiathat Indians were buying Chinese smartphones thick and fast. A new report in theEconomic Times suggests that by mid-November 2016, Chinese brands had cornered 51 percent of the smartphone market by shipments to India.

And the rest is from importing components from China and other countries in East Asia.

51% of India's smartphone market is pretty huge, more than the rest combined.

Chinese phones have more value for money than any other brand in India.. For example xiaomi redmi note 3.. Below $150 dollar for such a good specification..
