Has suicide bombing been drastically decreased? I can only recall 3 major ones this year, with lahore being most recent one.

It's amazing how some 1200 are killed and 400 captured. Imagine how much damage these many can do. Like if they all went to Karachi or Quetta, they could've overwhelmed the police and taken city as hostage.

I hope more of them are captured and interogated so locations of their friends in cities, where a full operation cannot be conducted, are captured.

The statistics for this year are much improved - 50% decrease in civilian casualties in terrorist attacks compared to 2013. Lets remember that the first half of this year was not much different than previous years, it is in the second half when Zard-e-azb happened and when the number of terrorist attacks nose-dived. Given that, one hopes that next year will be one where the status-quo vis-a-vis terrorist attacks finally changes.

Question : What happens to these people now?

Knowing our justice system is a joke, I hope army doesn't hand them over to police to keep them in jails etc until their hearing since these people have a knack of escaping when 100s of their boyfriends storm them jails with policemen grossly outnumbered.

Cant become as savage as ISIS and kill them all, cant be too nice to try to rehabilitate them all because some would go back to their usual ways asap.

But some idiots in politics are claiming that it was a mistake to send army in tribal areas

No other army could have achieved this, not just this but the general progress we've made with such little resources while fighting on home turf. I am confident of this fact.

They are not exactly taliban. Mangal bagh, like a dictator, ordered every family to provide one male for his milita otherwise action will be taken against that family...its similar to political agent who issues such orders. These men are most unfortunate, they will be not be spared by taliban/mangal bagh , and also worst fate is awaiting for them in the custody of military.

Unfortunately when states fail to provide the basic necessities to their people, such forces move in to fill the power vacuums. Many of these people might not had a choice, but I am sure PA have developed effective systems of screening the hardcore terrorists out. The one which are forced can always be rehabilitated, but it will take an effort not just from PA but the Pakistani society as a whole for which my hopes are non-existent. As was the case in SWAT, those who surrendered were rehabilitated and the hardcore ones, well they were thrown out of helis. So no worry about those who behaved as barbarians, shove some C4 up their asses and boom give them their virgins or what ever shit they believed in.

Army will rehabilitate them and they will be released. Once these NSAs are defeated, i'm sure no so called commander will be able to exploit our kids.
