A TV journalist's tweets comparing the force-feeding of a Muslim fasting during Ramzaan at Delhi's Maharashtra Sadan by Sena MPs and the murder of a Muslim techie in Pune have gone viral. The journalist also posted comments on the riots in UP.

While there has been an online petition to have him sacked from the channel, both liberals and conservatives feel he should have his say without being sacked.

"National crisis when a roze-dar is force-fed a roti," said one of his tweets. Another said, "When an IT professional was killed in Pune we screamed about his religion. Why is religion of those killed in Saharanpur a state secret?"
While many felt his tweets were inflammatory, he was criticized for deleting them and not standing by what he had said. "He tried to compare the unfortunate incidents in Saharanpur with the murder of a techie and the force feeding of a Muslim...on roza, alleging the secular population of a selective outrage. He doesn't understand that we, who believe in the idea of a plural India, don't see religion when we speak against bigotry," (joke of the century :D) said the petition on change.org calling for his sacking.

Good to see that pseudo-secular lobby is even trying to bully some almost-extinct unbiased journalists. Indian media will go any extent to protect anti-national Indian Muslims. And these hypocrites are the ones who were speaking about freedom of the press and opposing media regulation by the government.

There are many angles to this and the one you provided is also true but they don't want minorities to feel unsafe and that's also the other angle.

Saw this the other day on twitter. Secular brigade hasn't said a word on Saharanpur yet, they trying to put a spin on it somehow and want to make it look like BJP fault.

It doesn't matter what they say as people of Saharanpur know who's fault it is. There is a cancer in UP which need to be cured.

With a media like ours, how will our nation ever prosper? All these news traders must be executed.

Not only in UP. All the way from Srinagar to kanyakumari.

There was another petition started by the Nationalists asking the press council chairman to stop his sacking and that petition has many signatures.Sickulars who started the petition to sack him couldn't even find more than 500 signatures.
:D
That shows how right wing and Nationalism is spreading in India and Social media, thanks to internet.:yahoo::yahoo:

I don't find any wrong in his tweets they are perfectly fine.Media will keep a muslim name secret but will proudly publish hindu names as criminals even without a court trial. This happened in case of Seer Shankaracharya of Kanchi.

In the era of Internet bigotry and hypocrisy hardly goes unnoticed and unchallenged. Internet has exposed many bigots and apologists like Javed Akhtar, Rana Ayyub, Mahesh Bhatt, Barkha Dutt, Teesta Setalvad. Internet has killed many myths and the adulterated History, it has killed the social/political influence of the Jhollawallahs.

Well as our economy emerge you will see the healing process soon.

We need atleast 20 years of nationalist rule to take care of the scum.
Atleast 15 years of Modi rule will bring down the Nehru, leftists intellectuals and institutions and give rise to Nationalistic ideas and intellectuals.
But first and foremost is to finish off congress completely, they have a habit of coming back from dead, we must make sure they are totally finished in India. Congress-mukt bharat or else its back to same politics or worse as geopolitics change.

I believe Gaurav Sawant asked a valid question even if the comparisons may not be completely valid (the other two were one off cases, this was a riot in progress with things not yet calmed)

Another example of our pseudo-secular culture ....

Half a dozen people attacked the techie. 20,000 plus Muslims attacked Hindus and Sikhs.

No headlines in this case? No national outrage? Did they pass a new law in which Muslim can kill and loot kaafirs in India?

knowing is one thing and doing something about is other, if the victims there are not given justice, emotions will be simmering on until a bigger incident happen and that's when these secular brigade would jump on blaming BJP/RSS/Sikhs to terrorize the innocent peace loving muslims.
The crowd carried chemicals to burn down the shops, they shot dead a constable inside, INSIDE the police station. Yet these defenders of pluralism in India couldn't utter 2 words against them except breaking out in the chorus of "mezhab nahi sikhata aapas mein bair rakhna"
