OT Posts dealing with Hindu-Non Hindu relations

Adi Shankaracharya who was born in 700 AD met Veda Vyasa who was born a couple of thousand years before him ? :cheesy:

To be called a moron by you is a honor  I take it as an complement. ......any more trivia to demonstrated your "knowledge" on Hinduism ?

What a nice idiot?
You again and again show your ignorance.
Veda Vyasa is an immortal saint.
You dont know about Veda Vyasa .I dont have any time to waste with thus troll.

.
Okay so i may have misundrstood him completely. My mistake @abjktu ,sorry mate,i didn't understand the meaning of your post...
ok....i am an atheist..but i believes in 'Malayali nationalism'(inspired by Tamil nationalism)..but have some soft corner towards Jainism &hinduism....
yes,i am attacking Manvan because of his venomous attitude towards Malayalis in general....

I thought this sort of dogmatism is not followed in Hinduism. That's why you do not have an overall religious head or everyone argues what a scripture means.

For example, Kerala's biggest temple is devoted to Ayappan, a god not found in North Indian Hindu pantheon. Subramanian is another deity worshipped in Tamil Nadu.

I would terms Hinduism as a collection of faiths, given the term 'Hindus' by others (Muslims, British) because they didn't have much comprehension of what they encountered, and simply categorised the collection of cults, beliefs and lumped it together as 'Hindu.'
Actually Subramanian is not exclusively a Tamil god....is also known by a number of names like Murugan(Kerala,Tamilnadu),velayudan(Kerala,Tamilnadu),karthikeyan(Kerala,Tamilnadu,North India),Subramanian(Kerala,Karnataka, andra),kumaran ,senthil,vadivelan,saravanan(Tamilnadu)...

Veda vyasa is immortal figuratively not literally. He is immortal because he was the one who took the massive collection of knowledge called the veda's and split them into the 4 veda's we know today.

His real name was Krishna because he was dark skinned, Also know as Krishna Dvaipayana because he was born in a dvipa (island) to a Rishi father (Rishi parasara) and fisher women mother.

Since he is the ultimate guru who helped students learn the veda's separately, his birthday is celebrated as Guru Purnima. Either that or the day he became "Veda vyasa" when he separated the vedas into 4 body of works.

Anybody who studied the veda's gets reborn, its called Dvija. That is why Hindu's are twice born and have the thread ceremony. (Yajnopavitam)

Maybe its time to consider that Adi Shankara mastered the vedas when he was really young and was reborn as if Veda vyasa gave him life.

BTW Vishnu puran says the Veda's have been arranged and rearranged 28 times, so there are 28 Veda vayasa's.

I just wish RSS had done a better job of educating you. Would have saved me a tot of time and effort.

If you believe in Malayali nationalism you should be fighting to end the religious discrimination in kerala instead of defending it.

Why would I have a venomous attitude towards Malayalis when my wife, child, mother, father and brother is a malayali ? :cheesy:

Sree Mahadevan gave 16 years life span to the Adi Sankara.
He grasped all 4 Vedas and 6 Shastras and all Upanishads when he was eight years old.
After that he had a large students assets.
But his parents began to worry when he approached his 16 years age.During the same time when he is in class for his student .An old saint appears and began to argue about one of the Shlokas. At the end Adi Sankara defeated then he realised the true form of that saint.Veda Vyasa gave extended 16 years. In rest of his life he created Adwaita Theory and defeat Uddanda Shastris in a debate and gained the supreme privilege of Sarvanja Peet.
I know the biography of Veda Vyasa.

Rather than focusing on the live of great men it would have been infinitely better if you had focused on what they have taught. Its still not too late.

.
that does not mean it is Hinduism. Veda's means knowledge, not religious text.
read....moolai valarattum.. What are the Vedas?
The most sacred scriptures of Hinduism are the Vedas
("Books of Knowledge") , a collection of texts written
in Sanskrit from about 1200 BCE to 100 CE. As sruti,
the Vedas are regarded as the absolute authority for
religious knowledge and a test of Hindu orthodoxy
(both Jains and Buddhists reject the Vedas). "For
Hindus, the Veda is a symbol of unchallenged authority
and tradition." {1} Selections from the Vedas are still
memorized and recited for religious merit today. Yet
much of the religion presented in the Vedas is unknown
today and plays little to no role in modern Hinduism.

He was born a Christian but is an atheist now. His defense of his community is only due to filial loyalty.
Ishtella ellinda thilkonde???
