Pakistan Army has evacuated 2,784
people from flood affected areas of Johi, Mehar and Daddu to safer
places. Army distributed 86 tons of dry rations and provided cooked
food to 34,447 people at Sajawal, Bathoro and Shiharpur in last 24
hours.


Army Engineers have plugged the breaches at Tori near Ghora Ghat and Ghuspur in Sindh.
Army Engineers have opened the road links between
Sindh and Balochistan from Dera Murad Jamali, Mangoli, Goth Jani, Ahmed
Pur, Dolat Pur and Garhi Rahim Dad up to Thal for all types of traffic
and also plugged the breaches in Muzaffargarh Canal and Rang Pur Canal.
Army Engineers in collaboration with civil
Government are working on war footing to open road link between Dera
Allah Yar and Jacobabad.


Army has delivered 40 trucks carrying 20,000 Special
Eid packages containing clothes, shoes, bangles and ration packets (35
kgs each) containing rice, pulses, oil, dry milk and tea in flood
affected areas of Balochistan.


Pakistan Army has despatched three C-130 planes carrying tents and relief goods to Quetta for further distribution at Dera Murad Jamali.


In Southern Punjab, Army troops have despatched
45 trucks of food items for flood victims. More than 150 military and
civilian doctors are providing medical treatment to flood affected
people. Pakistan Army Medical Corps
alongwith Australian Medical teams are providing medical treatments to
the patients in medical camps at Kot Addu.


Army is actively engaged in rehabilitation of
damaged infrastructure. So far 20 schools and 13 hospitals in Southern
Punjab have been renovated.
