Opera

Opera is a big thing in Italy as is music in general. We have some famouse musicians who come from my home town. One is Andrea Bocceli and the other is world famous Puccini.

Almost evry big town has one ore more opera houses and its a big social thing.
Thats ours in Lucca

Here they often play stuff from Puccini. LIke Tosca or Turandot.

So we go once or two times a year...older people almost evry month or some even evry week.

I personally like the more modern program more, when they play movie soundtracks, which sound amazing with a real orchestra. Like gravity for example:

So we dress up and enjoy some fine music

So what about you? I guess Vergennes has the same in France, since its pretty similar to us in this regard.

I think nothing trumps classical music Its sometimes far more modern then the shit made today.

Beethovens moonlight sonata for example...

Some also make excellent training music

Classical music is quite nice but Opera imho is nonsense shrieks and shrills. Quite unenjoyable.

I took a music class this summer (piano) so I'm much more receptive of music now. It was a glad feeling to me that through the utmost effort of mine, I could still only rake in a B- at the end of the 4-week summer program.

Music (theoretical writing & analysis) isn't just my thing though I'm pretty good with playing the actual piano myself.

I like classical music but would sleep with my eyes open in an Opera...

Let me rephrase my original post --> "I would still personally not let my children play any musical instrument tho"
