Terrorism in Pak started in 2005 and If the Army done their job they could of finished
TTP of along time ago. But they are more interested in corruption, DHA's, getting
rid of Prime Ministers, making p@rn vids of politicians, judges, threatening and
killing journalists.

National and border security is the Federal domain, it has nothing to do with the 18th amendment. Bannu is only 3 hours away from Islamabad. it's an alarming situation. Taliban strike very deep, Bannu is way south of the Afghan border.
Plus CTD KPK needs training. Usually, CTD gets training from PA. Equipment is obsolete. KPK govt hasn't gotten his fund from the Federal govt. Lots of issues.

Understand the irony.

News reports that KPK authorities knew of impending attack. KPK CM could have requested Corps Comd XI Corps, IG FC and Interior Ministry to provide troops (including Frontier Constabulary) for an impending attack on crucial spots. If such request was denied by Federal Govt and GHQ then KPK CM stands correct. However, if the delay is there, then KPK CM can summon Levies numbering 12,000 in KPK province. And at disposal of KPK Govt are Khasadars, who are 40,000 strong in the province.

Bannu cantt and city has Police station, which is responsible for area inside and around Bannu, including roads and routes entering Bannu. The local policing authorities are Police, highway police, Levies and Khasadars all falling under domain of KPK Government. So, Taliban by-passed FC at the border and then all the policing forces in KPK province to reach Bannu, which is the domain of KPK Govt.

Next, border security of KPK falls under FC and then Army. CM KPK could have sent letter regarding security arrangements on the border, requesting troops disposition after pinpointing gaps and short falls in the border management system.

CTD is a police department, but it derives its personnel from other departments too.

Did you know that KPK Police has a SWAT styled force called SCU. The unit is equipped with sophisticated weapons and its mandate is to handle major crises like hostage situations and terrorist attack on sensitive installation. This unit comprises best of the elite personnel who have undergone additional nine months rigorous training in all modern warfare tactics including para-trooping, heli-repelling and water borne operations. The training of heli-repelling was conducted by Special Services Group of Pakistan Army and water-manship training was conducted by Pakistan Navy.

And there is a second highly mobile Police force called Rapid Response Force (RRF) which is a standby force consisting of highly motivated and trained police units to react and respond in events of organised armed assault by terrorists or in a hostage situation. It was established on the directions of the Inspector General of Police Mr. Nasir Khan Durrani (PSP) on 10th April, 2014. It The police personnel constituting RRF have undergone a rigorous nine month elite training course and is equipped with state of the art weaponry. Each unit of RRF is commanded by an officer of the rank of Superintendent of Police. RRF is kept engaged in mock exercises and operations at various sensitive and vulnerable places throughout the year.

KPK Govt is making a political issue out of this, it has all the resources at its disposal.

Imran Khan does sound like a Taliban Khan sometimes. His soft corner for Afghans and Talibans is very evident and his government in KP is equally responsible for this mess as they have thousands of TTP and Afghan sympathizers in their ranks.

that could've should've hasn't helped. Military cant camp down forever. civil administration has to establish the writ. provide utilities , collect taxes, provide justice build infrastructure provide health and education and politicians have to lead the way to achieve the unity and cohesion. that sadly didnt work,

people allege the civil administration of KPK including some of its members appeasing TTP, giving presents and even praying together although I think its unfair of my friends because I dont think any PTI leader or PTI appointed DC will dare to tell TTP to go away if it makes a sudden appearance in a mosque in Mangora or Laki marwat.

JUI-F is in a bit of a fix here. JUI is the biggest source of Deobandi students (both the late Samih ul Haq branch and Fazl Rehman branch) that made the bulk of legacy sectarian organizations like Sipah Sahabah that later migrated into one banner of TTP. but JUI-F has kept the links with the establishment as well. Molana Falz Rehman, although open critic of the war on terror and almost an apologist for Taliban has also never severed his links with the state and has enjoyed the perks of cosmetic titles which come with enviable perks. he allegedly even offered his services to the Americans saying that he was able to control and appears the highly radicalized population as well as be acceptable to establishment and do what is "right" regarding the war on terror and Pakistan's relations with the Americans.

he is a very shrewd politician although a bitter one somewhat because the establishment ditched him and favored Imran khan and engineered the elections of the 2013 that resulted in the "free and fair" results favoring Imran Khan.

but that's the past now since Imran Khan doesn't have that magical support anymore that told the electable to make a beeline in front of PTI. the establishment sees nothing sensational from Imran Khan after his repeated cancellation and postponement of marches and threats of dissolving the assemblies. I wont be surprised if some more notable personalities still in PTI leave him although they are bleeding themselves dry by biting their lips and tongues trying to understand the state of single minded Imran Khan who seeks wisdom from his pious wife.

Are these TTP guys coming from Afghanistan or are they home grown? If they are coming
from Afghanistan then you can do a million operations in Pak nothing will change.

Pak Army needs to learn from Turkey on how they crushed PKK. I agree with you
that Politicians need to bring social, economic reliief but that is if the politician is
allowed to do his job.

When you have the COAS telling the PM not to do accountability and tell him who
should be the CM of Punjab then there is a problem.

TTP is self sufficient in sourcing minions from our own population.
the way we have radicalized ourselves its not just the Debandis joining TTP and Daesh but we got Sunnis joining TLP. its just a matter of time that TLP will trade guns with their mother sister swearing Afghans might start complaining that we are spoiling them.

examples of Turkey, Iran and Saudis don't apply to us. these nations are nationalistic and dont allow religious blackmailing and Ummah card when it comes to national security. they crush the terrorists without making excuses. in our case we got people openly declaring our army napak and celebrating the deaths of our men. biggest example is one in Lal Masjid Islamabad who has declared our army murtad and so emboldened that this terror den has filed cases against General Musharaf for red mosque operation. had it been Iran, Saudi or Tukey then the mosque might have been raised or taken over and every single terrorist along with the family member publicly executed.
but this is Pakistan.
