Do product based company have less onsite opportunities than service based company?

Yes product based companies have very less chance of getting onsites if the product is based on India and has no good sales internationally.

But services can be acquired from other countries which means you will get a chance to go onsite

Service based companies has much more opportunities. Product based company also have but it is very limited to its branches..

I worked for an MNC in India. A product based company, designing testers. So basically onsite opportunity means installing in other countries what has been designed in India. Complex systems take 1-2 months to install in foreign countries. Some take less than a week.
On site opportunity is poor, until unless parent company seeing our talent and asking us to work overseas.
