November 11, 2012 "Times Of Israel"-- Israeli leaders have concluded that conventional air strikes would be insufficient in curbing Iran’s nuclear program, leaving only a deployment of either tactical nuclear weapons or ground forces, according to a report in the British Sunday Times.

Western “defense experts” quoted by the report pointed at the Iranian Fordo facility, which is located deep underground near the city of Qom, as a site that was immune to conventional air strikes.

“The only way to finish off Iran’s nuclear program is by using the nuclear option,” said IDF Chief of General Staff Dan Halutz, the only named source quoted by the report. “But I hope Bibi [Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] is not mad enough to think about it.”

According to foreign reports, Israel is in possession of a significant arsenal of nuclear weapons, including tactical weapons such as neutron bombs, along with long-range Jericho missiles to deliver them.

Israel also possesses GBU-28 bunker-buster bombs that could be deployed by the Israel Air Force’s F-16 bombers. However, according to assessments, these bombs would not prove sufficient to penetrate the Fordo facility.

November 11, 2012 " Sunday Times" -- ISRAEL’S military planners have been forced to conclude that a conventional assault on Iran’s nuclear facilities might fail after evidence emerged that Tehran has hidden far more of its uranium enrichment capacity beneath a mountain than previously suspected.

Western defence experts say much of Iran’s Fordow enrichment site near the city of Qom is now deep underground in a “zone of immunity” safe from conventional airstrikes.

They claim this narrows Israel’s response to two options: the deployment of special forces in a ground attack, or the use of ballistic missiles carrying small tactical nuclear warheads.

The phrase zone of immunity was coined by Ehud Barak, the defence minister, to emphasise that time is running out for Israel as Iran moves closer to being able to make a nuclear weapon.

The content at the Sunday Times is protected by a subscription need, so I can't personally verify this post or the claim.
But let's take your word for it, Hasbara Buster.

I still think the Israeli government will not be (allowed to) use nukes to bust bunkers in Iran.
They'll have to use ground troops, that means get all of NATO involved (putting Israel squarely in the public eye as an integral member of NATO), and it means regime change by invasion of westerners for Iran. Something the Green movement in Iran is no doubt begging and preparing for.

Just support the Green movement when the time is there.

Iran wants total de-nuclearization in the world, do western governments want that? Have they ever proposed this like Iran has?

Ehm, in my opinion you did claim (or at least having a fear of) that the Israeli's are seriously considering nuking Iran's bunkers.
You did not mention if these bunkers would be in areas where if hit by such smaller nukes, there would be any civilian casualties.

The Israelis and the Americans have made clear for nearly a decade (or even much longer, iirc) that Iran is not allowed to create nuclear weapons. And that the official Iranian promises can not be trusted based on historic need for action against Iran's nuclear weapons program.

Nor do I think the Israelis are being Satanic, or desperate, they are just very very assertive based on years of nearly nothing else but hatred from Arabs and Muslims, over a small piece of sandland that was granted to them in a book that worships the same one God that Allah is. That's at least my interpretation; all (major) religions on earth point to the same God.

Therefore, it is the high levels of muslim hatred against Jewish presence in the country now known as Israel, that is causing this problem.

The Iranian government and higher clergy keep repeating their desire for the country of Israel to be "disolved" or "removed", and future generations of important Iranian "royalty-government" members, have indicated the same desire. You are what your parents make of you?

We don't terrorize, we respond to aggression. We retaliate, or we invite more violence towards our own.

I fully intend to imply that muslims will use "conventional", chemical and even biological weaponry on eachother (sunni<->shia) and westerners alike, if nukes weren't "balanced" the way they are right now.
