I don't understand the logic behind this. Am I not a citizen? Why should I be denied the right to vote for the first time in my life because I'm away from my country? The US has absentee ballots which allows people to vote if they cannot make it to the polling station on election day such as in a situation where they have to work etc.

I want to exercise my right to vote!
