I my view - the one event was the moment that the stray arrow hit general Hemchandra Vikramaditya (Hemu) in the eye during his war with the Mughals in which , till the time the arrow hit ,he was winning the war.

"His defeat was accidental and victory of the Mughals providential'' -R.S.Tripathi.

''But for an accident in a battle which turned victory into defeat,he might have founded a Hindu ruling dynasty, instead of Mughals in Delhi'' - R.C Majumdar.
