Is there anything that didn't come from India? I don't want to sound hating, but this is too much. Every single thread somehow tells the world WRONGLY that Indians did this. We were ALREADY in space before we allowed the Indians to come take our tech jobs away. And we were running Super Computers like CRAY-XMP back when the world didn't know how to spell the word computer. A punching card used to be considered a "computer" and we were running IP based internet back in the 60's (Thank you DARPA).

So please, forgive me and everyone and spare us with this "India invented all things modern" bullshiit. The gentlemen from MIT has ALWAYS been listed in MIT for like 5 decades as the "creator" of modern communication (e-mail) and there are PLENTY of proofs dating back. Including when he first met with a few executives from IBM and mentioned the idea. They all looked at him and said "you think the @ sign in my e-mail will actually tell the computer to send it to a specific number"? (back then your URL used to be a number, like say you type Yahoo this would be the actual public IP people would type and even that was in experimental stage). Anyway, Ray just laughed hard on that question. RIP Raymond!! Let's not STEAL the credit from where its deserved!!

did you know movies have affect on your mind for example white guy is always the hero, or civilised, or most knowledgeble hollywood programming is disturbing. i have noticed in movies the black guy is the one who messes up or gets killed first by the alien, or is shown as dumb person. to make matters worse your leadership is suffering from colonial syndrome and add to it is skin whitening products and adverts with white skin actors. in the movies the white guy is inventor thinker etc but brown and black guy are tribal backward folks who are easily frigntened of sceince. if there was any black magic to be frigntend off this is it movie pictures which leaves mark on our mind to look at other race as superier race.

Before I even respond to your post...are you talking about Hollywood, Bollywood..India or the US?

If you are referring to soft power, then yes. Movies do help in furthering the image of a country. But that is a positive effect and not necessarily affecting race relations per se.

I personally don't think movies have a role in the highlighted as much as culture and history.
In India (and I think the subcontinent)..The fact that in the 5000 year old history, hierarchy was defined by the shade of ones skin.
In the past, the rich had the luxury of being in the shade as well as had the option of choosing jobs that allowed them to do so.
On the other hand, the poor had to toil in the field (because we are mainly an agrarian society) or do other jobs that required exposure to the sun.
Hence the idea of correlating rich with lighter skin became the norm.
Unfortunately, that still exists to this day...and strangely is not unique to the subcontinent.
Couple that with the massive colonial hangover and it completely explains the obsession with lighter skin.

abit of both. i have noticed that leaders will say to population we have best health care etc but they themselves will have operation in usa. or like north korean leader tells people to hate usa but himself like to drink whisky from usa or goes on holiday to europe. or pakistan zardari and co make speech get population emotional but then send his kid to england to oxford while pks starve. they mock us i swear if zardari did that kind of joke in the streets of uk he would have had his balls fried 240 volts. they all have accounts abroad. they act arrogant with thier own serfs but if white guy is present suddenly the civilised. .they nothing but house slaves and the worse kind.

I thought they were slowing down on it? I heard about the funding from a couple of Indian guys who used to work for me that they and many other Tamils wanted their independent country due to their history and cultural richness, etc.
