Haji Muhammad Amin Giga, CEO of Al-Ghurair Giga (private) Limited, said that his company’s dream project, the World Trade Centre (WTC), the first one in Pakistan, would be completed by the end of this year.

In an interview, Haji Amin said on completion of WTC at Defence Phase-II of Islamabad, Pakistan would become the member of World Trade Centre Association (WTCA).

Appreciating the Jang Media Group for holding the Pakistan International Real Estate Expo (Pirex) 2014, the CEO of Al-Ghurair Giga expressed the hope that the mega event would result in bringing all stakeholders at one platform to exhibit their achievements in developed and under-developed projects in-land and worldwide.

He said that the Al-Ghurair Giga has completed many projects that include Goldcrest Views, Goldcrest Executive, Goldcrest Views-II, Dubai; which are all forty-storey buildings.

In DHA-II, the company has undertaken mega projects like multi-storey Lifestyle Goldcrest, Defence Residency and others.

However, he was very enthusiastic and excited about the WTC project, which is heading to its completion in near future, where Al-Ghurair Giga was developing residential and commercial projects (some are ready for possession and a few are near completion) at the DHA-Phase 2, Islamabad.

The first World Trade Centres of Houston, New Orleans, New York and Tokyo were the pioneer in 1970; today there are 319 World Trade Centres and over 750,000 companies are affiliated with WTCA worldwide. India has four WTCs and China has eight WTCs.

The World Trade Centre, Islamabad, would create a central focal point for region’s trade services and activities. It would be a ‘One-Stop Shopping Centre’ for all businesses. This means that if you have an office at the WTC Islamabad, you are connected to 750,000 other organisations.

To a question, Haji Muhammad Amin Giga said that the interested individuals, corporate bodies and consortia will be able to exchange their views on various projects. He also highlighted the WTC by terming it an economic development platform, gateway to the world and a signature real estate project. He appealed to the investors to invest in the WTC world class corporate offices, where everything is state-of-the-art.

The centrally-airconditioned mall will consist of four levels of a world-class shopping mall, international & local brands, multi-cuisine food courts, exclusive cafes-restaurants, six screen 3-D Cinepax, children’s play area and 24-hour power backup & security system.

There will also be six levels of offices, national & international firms, dedicated reception lobbies on each floor, uninterrupted power supply, exclusive four levels of covered car parking spaces which are designed by international consultants with direct access from GT Road. All centrally-airconditioned, suited for banks, telecommunication operators, call centres, software houses, press & media, tourism, medical centres, legal firms.

Haji Muhammad Amin Giga said that soon they will also be organising an expo at the WTC. “We also plan to raise WTCs in Lahore and Karachi in years to come,” he said.

Besides bringing a huge investment in the construction industry and real estate sector, Haji Amin also wanted to contribute directly to well being of Pakistan and its people.

To this end, he has started sending young agriculturalists, holding graduate and postgraduate degrees in the field, to Korea to get knowledge of latest technology.

Haji Amin plans to send a large number of agriculturalists to Korea to learn the techniques for increasing per acre yield in Pakistan. He said that he would also provide best fertiliser prepared in Karachi to 50,000 small farmers free of cost across the country.

Seems most Pakistanis here are on Skyscrapercity. Just like Indians too. Do visit India section. U will see many of us there, tough not with same name.

meanwhile India is making some useless statue of unity (again copy from statue of liberty)

CAA objects everything over 19 floors.

yeah I know of that 200m high building rule (no buildings above 200m), however not sure of the floors

nonetheless i got your post, it made sense  because it does look over 200m

i dont like this rule I hope they change it soon

The new design is much much better....

yes but a tall building would have been nice :)
