I have made such Mulakats a permanent feature from the day I took over as Chief Minister of the State. These not only provide general people opportunity to meet me and discuss the development matters but also the personal ones requiring my help. These also provides me avenue to get first hand appraisal of the status of progress on works and public analysis about their quality and effectiveness, the Chief Minister added and said that such general interactions also identify the areas where the delivery of administration requires upgradation and improvement.
Omar said that every single paper received in these Mulakats are examined and follow-up action on the valid grievances taken. Cent percent applications received are thoroughly examined and referred to the concerned quarters for action wherever needed on-spot orders are passed, he added.
It has been seen that the people during these Mulakats brought to the notice of the Chief Minister varied issues ranging from approving Sarav Siksha Abhiyan Centres (primary education centres), to establishment of Nero-anesthesiology in the Trauma Hospitals, from sanctioning heart valve and pace-makers to the settlement of problems confronting cross LoC trade and from assistance to the needy to evicting security forces from the private houses.
All these issues received positive response. Action for the justified and genuine demands was ordered by the Chief Minister on-spot besides sanctioning financial assistance to the critical patients and needy.

I would take up with the Centre the issues of creating banking relations and communication facilities between the traders of the two sides and freezing the commodity list for at least one year identifying items of business so that there will be no ambiguity about the trading of various commodities, he said adding that these aspects are essentially required to flourish the cross LoC trade.
