ISLAMABAD, (SANA): Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Chairman Saeed Ahmed Khan has said that there is billion of rupees gas theft in the country. He said gas companies have been directed to cover this loss with their profits instead of shifting it to the consumers.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, OGRA chairman said the authority has asked for policy guideline from ministry of petroleum for fixing of CNG prices at the rate Rs 72.20 in region one and Rs 63.76 per kg in region two, but the guidelines so far have not been received from ministry of petroleum, adding that OGRA would again hold meetings with all stakeholders for resolving the issue of CNG prices.

He assured that the issue of CNG price would be resolved before December 17.
