Based on the documents leaked by Wikileaks, wheels for the fate of Pakistan and Afghanistan, US' roles in these two countries, and US' democratic efforts with Pakistan were set in motion in 2008. Recommendations on the 'current' situation were given back in year 2008. That is mightily disturbing and even more so, incredibly delayed and late. Moreover, I wonder if this was all a tactic of some sort? I mean how did a couple of teenagers manage to hack CIA's director's e-mail id? E-mail id that he used for intelligence projects? US' democratic efforts with Pakistan

Key here, this means the US is funding civilian control and influence and reduced Army ISI foot hold. Eventually the PA may just be all professional army of soldiers.
This would also explain the US's neglect to directly train the PA in COIN Ops. They don't trust the PA/ISI, and in the pool right now are US, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Russia, Pak Politicians

2008 has gone long ago , Pakistan is there , & telling Obama that if he wants Afghanistan as what he wishes , then he need to move his dam blk a$$$$$ on Kashmir ?

The leaks simply suggest that planning for Afghanistan and Pakistan started long ago. In a way, whatever we are seeing right now, with US' pressure to enhance democratic relations with Afghanistan, and moving against all terrorist organization etc. Moreover, if these leaks hold any weight, then US' relationship with Pakistan should take a turn for the better. However, I fear that US' intervention in Pakistan may also increase. Fact that US' forces still remain in Afghanistan means that US is not done with Pakistan ..
