Now, a Facebook 'like' leads to sedition charges in India

Its just hyprocracy on an online forum to invent personal anecdotes and make up theories around it when discussing matters of national import, for a diverse country of 1.2 billion people like India. Just shows the shallow and ridiculously hateful nature of these people.

At topic - indian police in notoriously ill trained, undereducated, and fit for the 50s. Asking them to police the web itself is a freaking joke. Indians will have to keep exposing this issue and find a solution until things mature and a solution is found.

A lot of people posting here could be theoretically arrested. Communal comments are liable.

I dont understand why people are paying so much attention to Facebook or any other social networking sites! It is as if they desperately crave their stupidity to be acknowledged and celebrated by the world!

Also, IMHO its about time that laws regarding our Tricolor are to be revised in the real spirit of "freedom of expression" clause of our Constitution - just like that of other developed countries. It would save a lot of people a lot of trouble.

Its as if we dont have anything worthwhile to be proud of, so "we" decide to choose the Flag/Religion as sacred symbols and become offended at the slightest offense. Are we as a people NOT mature enough that we pick fights on such trivial matters?

In the FIR filed in September 2012, it is alleged that Ali clicked 'like' on a Facebook page titled 'I Love Pakistan' and that a picture showing a dog clothed in the national flag was seen in his Facebook profile page.
That is the height of stupidity

What should we say about those British/Canadian born Pakistani and indians who sing love songs for india/pakistan. should they be considered traitor if they support india in india vs engalnd matches ?

I think the case will not only crash in court, most probably judge is going to say some pretty bad things about the police.

I thought you were an educated person and perhaps beyond such rubbish. Does it take to be from aryan stock to be noble? What about nobility of thought, or character? Do you actually believe in stratification of society based on such nonsense? And you suppose yourself learned enough to lecture others? Boy, I am glad my father migrated to Pakistan.

it wasnt supposed to come across like that.
