A notification regarding the reduction in electricity price by Rs 1.48 per unit was issued Wednesday.
According to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), the notification has been issued under fuel adjustment for the month of April.
The NEPRA authorities said in a statement that distribution companies will provide Rs 7 billion relief to the consumers in the electricity bill for June.
In April, 6.40 billion units of electricity were supplied to consumers. New prices will not be applicable for the domestic customers using 50 units, the Agriculture Sector and K-Electric consumers.
