Norway Suspends Arms Exports to UAE

Yes, it is insignificant, but it may be the first step towards something bigger.
[emoji23] Dude is libya even a Country? They do not have even a air force and navy how can you talk about Defence industry [emoji23]

What exactly Norway exports to UAE?

They have access and can get anything from anywhere from top arms suppliers around the globe....

Best of luck Norway...lolsss
It might be more of a symbolic move rather than a pragmatic one. Might be Europe warning the UAE to clean up its act.

Libya is a country. We also do have not only one air force but two. Just like Korea!
Our navy is still training somewhere in the EU, and we do have multiple armies. The professional Presidential Guard, the National Guard, the Petroleum Facilities Guard (who cost is about 100 billion dollars by cutting our oil exports, but that's another story) the Bunyaan Al-Marsoos Operations Room, the Operation Dignity, and a long list of smaller armies. Yes, we don't have a unified military, but we do have plenty of militaries.

The UAE has plenty of weapons projects believe me

I never denied that. But less competition=higher price, and so does less cooperation.

Norway arms exports to the UAE never exceeded $50 million..and this ban is temporary until the Yemeni crisis is solved.. The media hype and message is much bigger than the substance..Norway, just like its big cousin Germany has shown some animosity towards Saudi Arabia and now the UAE.. not long ago it has retrieved almost a trillion dollars from its sovereignty fund to counter the projected Saudi Arabian Aramco projected shares sales prices..

Many can't grasp the real impact of such actions... it' snot a problem of arms export or money... no it isn't...
UAE is "almost" the only one who played this past decade, a game of soft image, with lobby etc... They are very very strong in that area, it's comparable to the Israel lobby work...

So when news of such... happen..; it's a problem... it means they ar elosing some ground in that lobby fight..; simple as that... Now that Norway publicly expressed such behavior concerningUAE involvment in Yemen, other may follow...

UAe did a lot, a lot and a lot to make this Yemen war/crisis... unseen, but since a year+ things begun to change... and it became a problem... Since UAE never had this public image of being " the bad one"...

-1 for PR...

I don't think it's animosity per se, but rather a bit of populism. Germany does not wish to lose its support among Iranians, and it is pretty sure that the Saudi people don't really care about who hates their government, as long as it does not affect their daily lives. So Germany then decides to not sell weapons to KSA and UAE "due to human rights abuses" (in real life, governments dgaf about rights abuses) while cooperating in almost every other field. This means that if some people come to hate Saudi Arabia, Germany won't be associated, and if people come to hate Iran, Germany is still out of the picture.
In choosing not to get involved, I believe that they are trying to keep as low a profile as possible to make sure that they are not targets of any hate. This is what makes Germany's and Sweden's passports the most powerful in the world.

You are right on most points, but there is still animosity somehow..or rather some moves that create animosity.. this is not about any system, this was about vital systems like MBTs and submarines and even submachine guns,, it is like if Germany and now Norway were treating KSA and the UAE as if they were under UN sanctions for offensive weapons just like Iran.. this alone is an animosity act.. in other words they are putting sanctions on KSA and the UAE while they know that their presence in Yemen is backed by the international community through the UN.. otherwise how can KSA use submarines against the Houthis!? it is a power play mostly where Germany & CO want to chow some supremacy in the arms market.. KSA understands the German equivalency with Iran in offensive weapons.. so it goes only for civilian systems it needs and where Germany have a technological advantage.. the rest like Tanks and Submarines can easily be brought from France, China or South Korea and Japan..But as I pointed out earlier Germany wants to show that its stands are based on principles and not money..while at the same time providing Usrael (talking about human rights!!!) with the most advanced German made Submarines with nuclear missile launching capabilities!!! I do see animosity in both it declared state or covert one..

You are right on All points.
I would like to note that with Israel, there is some kind of fascism or preference for Western nations over the "other" when it comes to these things. America is prepared to miss billions in Arab deals for F35 for Israel, and all of our planes come somewhat downgraded unless we pay a heavy price, unless of course, if you were Israel. Then you can have all access and more.
Europeans have managed to induct Poland into the EU when it's economy was in tatters, but not Turkey that risked its own existence as the NATO Southern Flank for forty years in order to save them. Not because they didn't respect human rights (they do, a lot more than France and UK) but because they are fundamentally different in being Muslim, part of the "other".
It is just fascism evolved. Arabs must simply not look for weapons anymore, but rather just give them the finger and make our own stuff. Screw them.

I'm still wondering, though, what allows them to keep Israel alive? Fidst it was to keep them from being killed by the "savages". Then it was the antisemites wanting to kill the poor tiny "brave" and isolated state of Israel from those genocidal Arabs.
Nowadays it is an important strategic ally and "the eternal homeland of the Jewish people". Israel makes it a religious matter, but it is mostly part of the psyche of the West in which the first thing they hear about Muslims (or Turks if you happen to be in Eastern Europe) is that they live in that war zone. Then it is that they are oppressive domestic abusers. When you see one they are not as pale, don't speak in the same accent. Their women wair the oppressive hijab. There is almost a boundary between the "normal" person and the Muslim.
It is something humans do.

Try to look at Judeo-Christian world on the net, that might explain a lot of things things..

That stuff is scary. The mosque I go to every Friday is part of this church building, and the other half is a freemasons temple. I kid you not.
If this Judeo-Christian civilisation thing turns out to be true, we might need to bring back the Ottoman Empire.
