What's new

No cow slaughtering in Pakistan’s border district, not under compulsion but respect

I fail to understand how can killing innocent living beings and spilling blood be a religious obligation? Why no modern muslim questions this barbaric practise?
Innocent living animals ? than What about Plants they are also alive

Just a Point from Nature Human are the only animals which have both carnivore and herbivore teeth so they can sustain on meat and vegetable and meat does contain a lot of Vitamins which you cant find in plants

That sacrifice is not just a simple act , its a act to help other members of your society, invest in them give them food as they cant afford

Whatever People say Animal and Plants are Food and thats simple some of them are , some of them or not

.
Not necessarily.

Our mental capacities differ. There are animals with higher intelligence. But they CAN end up on our plate.

The reason is and we agree, is His Will. That is all.
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِي
Indeed Allah has created the human in the best of forms. (Surah Teen, verse 4)

So what is best mean?
Only two creatures have choices. Jinn and Human. Human King (Hazrat Suliman) rules over Jinn. So Allah creates the best form who have ability to control other creatures on earth.

I can understand that from a vegan perspective the killing of any animal can be appalling and barbaric, especially an animal that some think are equal to humans, the sacred cow. I respect the vegan lifestyle though I'm not one. Vegans do have a lower ecological footprint than meat eaters and I appreciate their contribution to the planet.

Maybe I'm looking at this from the perspective of a meat eater but I think it is unfair to blame Muslims and call them names for animal slaughter on Eid. As @Pluralist mentioned, it is an occasion of sharing and gathering. Breaking social and class boundaries. Making those unfortunate feel a part of society.

As for the animal slaughter itself, it can be unsightly if one isn't familiar with their food chain (unless you are vegan). I think there are some important life lessons in the ritual itself and being uncensored is part of it, to ground oneself in reality and appreciate life a bit more. In the modern world, animals are slaughtered in a factory, hiding the process and the meat people purchase often don't resemble the original animal form. This creates a society of people that are detached with their food and treating meat as just another commodity, like potatoes and lettuces, often leading to over consumption of meat and waste in the environment of abundance, meaning more animals need to be slaughtered. Some people might not fully appreciate how meat was once an living animal that was raised to a certain age and slaughtered for consumption to nourish their life force. An animal died so a human can sustain its life, so eat what is necessary and don't indulge in gluttony and waste. Meat was once a living creature, people should understand that.

Some humans consume meat and same is true of creatures in nature, we are apart of nature. In nature there are herbivores, omnivorous, and carnivores, humans also follow these methods of nourishment.

It is a nice gesture of inter faith harmony. Obviously not on PDF and the keyboard warriors which abound here but I have always found Indians and Pakistanis I meet abroad very tolerant and accommodating of other faiths. From the first post - I guess this is part of the region which was captured by India in the 1971 war and returned to Pakistan in 72 after the Shimla Agreement.

@I.R.A

Why no modern Hindu (if such a person exists in the first place) questions millions of backward retarded practices in his

Hindus do question and if required discard backward retarded practises in their faith. Sati being a good example.

Sati being a good example of what? Foreigners / conquerors teaching some humanity to Hindus.

And we are talking about people who were seen worshiping Trump's posters and cutting cakes for him. So who in Hinduism decides and defines what practice is to be labelled backward? I can point to many practices, would Hindus accept my suggestions?

Dude if u can't pray in ur local mosque bcuz of floods...then there's no harm in praying in an area which was free of idols. This whole earth is Allah's creation...anywhere that is clean and free of idols, Muslims can pray there. Kabaa used to have idols...and after it was rid of idols, Muslims prayed there and continue to do so to this day.
Agreed. Idols should ideally have been removed.

. . . .
In any case, hindus will now dat that look. Even pakistani muslims are abstaining from it.

.
I doubt it.

Hindus keep idols everywhere. The temple itself is consecrated as a living abode of their deity. Lol.

They probably had no other option.
U r just speculating without any proof. I read this news on BBC...I'm sure the Muslims who performed prayers would've objected if there were idols.

First, it only kinds of you who prohibit to eat meat,
Second, proteins are good for health,
Third, we share it with poors and those who can't afford healthy food on regular basis
Fourth, we humans are all omnivorous, the nature created us to eat meat and veg both,
Fifth, meat is delicious to eat
Sixth, mind your own business and focus on your own problems instead of giving lectures to other and farting in public.

.
while in pissful ganga desh muslims are butchered for eating beef!! barbaric bastards.
