Nio Doubles October Deliveries; Xpeng, Li Auto Continue Strong Run

Nio doesn't offer any cutting edge tech. It's don't outrange any rival, autonomous level is not as good as P7.

Xpeng P7 is currently the best EV in China or best EV in the world. Range is long. Top quality sound system and sound proof is good. Control wise more leaning towards comfort driving. Voice control and autonomous parking are world class. Interior space are spacious than Tesla 3. While price wise is almost similar.

Xpeng sound system maybe functionally good but design is odd - the dash seems to cover the area of speakers in the side.

It's unique because it is sold in consumer cars. Not some expensive bulky gear roof add on to some truck, bus or taxi. Only the Xpeng P7 has a chance...and that is only because they swiped an early version of Tesla's Autopilot driving software.


I'm showing some of the October numbers are actually worse than September. If I didn't post the September chart you'd all just cry fake news.


I'm sorry you have poorly planned infrastructure in mainland China that will leave you stuck in the last century. It should work fine all around the world as long as people aren't ignoring general road rules and the street designs are logical.
Hong Kong has Auotpilot and will likely get Full Self Driving next year.
lol... I thought what's revolutionary it should be... Turns out to just be putting some cameras to different positions of the car, then call it 'revolutionary'... Today being 'revolutionary' is so cheap... No wonder a company which does not even have its own battery to be boasted as 'pioneer and leader' in battery tech...LMAO...

Even Tesa's L1 auto-park still sucks...lol... And all existing Tesla models currently on market can only achieve L2 auto-drive...

And nothing special of Tesla's autonomous driving... Multiple companies are developing such tech for their cars, such as BMW, Toyota, NIO, Xpeng, etc, etc...Even the Changan Uni-T has L3 autonomous driving about to be mass-produced, with AI chip from Chinese AI Chip maker Horizon Robotics:

To realize the true autonomous drive for all vehicles, you need 5G communication, which we are leading the way, we are using the CV2X while you have not even had your standard set yet, and are still using the old WIFI tech...LMAO...

You need to look for more quality review of Xpeng P7 regards the sound system. Nobody has has claim that is a problem which affects the sound quality. A sub woofer will raise from the front dash board plus driver can enjoy total personal stereo if he do not want to disturb back seat passenger as they have speaker on head rest. No such EV offer such top class sound system at the moment. There is no doubt xpeng EV sound system are miles ahead of next nearest rival.

Tesla 3 sound proof is a total joke. This is the true comment even from hardcore tesla fan.

The only advantage nio has was its batt swap which can make a full batt in less than 8mins. And i am surprised many Chinese are buying this idea. A big reason why some buy Nio car. Same time as filling a gasoline.

But the tech of nio car is not that ground breaking or great! I have more hope for Xpeng. Their tech background is very strong. The P7 auto parking is very impressive.

I see that as a major advantage. What's holding electric vehicle back are the batteries. People want batteries to both hold more charge and to charge faster. But if one can concentrate on improving only one aspect of the equation, it's more likely to net bigger gains in the end.

For a short while only. Now batt are holding more power and charge faster and faster. Batt swap is good for city driving. But once you drive out of the comfort zone. You will realise batt swap is useless. Higher batt capacity and fast charge are the key for EV.

While Xpeng achievement is considerable in this the microprocessor dependency is still there. Most chinese EV use either israeli mobileye chips or nvidia chips.

Do u think its non replaceable by Chinese companies? Xpeng used brambo brakes, dyna sound sytem. Its more for an international appeal rather lack of local vendors. SMIC 7nm chips are going ptoduction end of this year. Huawei is champion of chips design. If Xpeng wants to go local, it can easily replace those foreign hardware and xpeng P7 may perform better.

Remember, Xpeng is a nasdaq listed stock. It needs to have the international collaboration appeal to sell overseas in future. With US chips , it will have no worry export to US.

Huawei had a plan to enter and design the Ai chips needed for automated driving. Not sure what happened there. It might still be on agenda.

I regret not buying NIO stock when it was $2.5 per share. I could have been a multi-millionaire by now.

I bought BYD shares years ago when they were dirt cheap. Glad they are doing well this year.

Maybe time to sell? You don't have to sell all. It will dance like Tesla, no way it's worth more than BMW, it might crash and then rise again. Similar to tesla bubble.
