:disagree:

Hmphhh.. so why are they returning from Superpower India? This is preposterous!

Has the land of milk & honey really failed them or .... did they just escape the traps of human traffickers and fell into BGB hands?

Lol the land of milk of honey not only abandoned them but also to the most of the poor of india. Saxena report indicated that 78 percent of the people of india live below poverty line with less then 20 rupee a day. This depicts the real picture of india. Previously indian government used to hide grim picture saying only 22% are poor. Recently indian government tried to do it again saying any one earning 30 rupee a day can not be called poor as he or she will have enough money with that for covering heath, education and food cost. In bangladesh with one can not even cover his 3 times a day food cost let alone covering health and education cost but india it is enough to cover all. Funny. Indias success story has been over hyped. There only people in service sector are getting benifited but rest are poor. But in bangladesh mostly poorest are getting benifited due to remittance and garment sector boom. This is the difference between india and bangladesh.

Why were Felani and her dad returning to Bangladesh? They obviously go back sometimes.

To know that you have to visit our border areas.... Some days ago i saw a programme on Tv on this matter , maybe ' Crime watch ' i forgot.... They told that some people works there in the border areas known as DALALS.... They are indians and bangladeshis.... Indian dalals come to Bangladesh, and their bangladeshi partners manage vulnerable people such as illiterate farmers..... Then they misguides these people telling that theres good job available for them in india..... They usually take the bait due to ignorance, sell their lands to give money to dalals.... These dalals manage bsf with money and then after passing the border they just vanish... Then those family either find their way to Jails, slum or road and each of them wants to come back! girls are sold into brothels.... All of them have same story.....

nope.. His father wanted her to get married in Bangladesh... Thats why they were returning.... Seems like he was not confident about her future in the land of plenty....

Or he wanted her to marry a Bangladeshi Muslim, since you can't get kids married in India.

Some days ago i read an interesting news. Two bangladeshi who were thief arrested in India... They used to go there using their passport in a valid way, steal there, come back to bangladesh and sell here in Bangladesh... This proves -

1. They are afraid in doing crime here in bangladesh... India was safer for them.. No one wants to get shot by RAB... 2. They used to get more money by selling those things in bangladesh than india....

Its to avoid getting caught, pretty common in Europe, car thieves steal from Western Europe and sell it in Eastern Europe.

So far i know they were living there for more than 10 years .... It would not be a difficult task for him to get her married in india with indian muslims..... You maybe talking about registration! A moulvi would be enough for a marriage in a slum....

Yes it wouldn't have been that hard, but people always want their kids to get married in their own culture. Those two were going back just for the marriage, after which her dad would have returned to India, since the rest of his family was in India.

Not true. Felanins father was living in india for more then 25 years. He and his brother after their parents death got a job in a farm land of india likely near the border area. Since then they are in india. At that time they were less then 12. This was felanis first time in bangladesh. His father wanted to marry her with a dhaka boy. This is showing he had less faith and trust on the land of milk and honey. Read the daily star article "One death many question." But the sorry part is that BSF did not stopped by killing her but they also stole her bangles made of gold.

@roy gourav is there any shortage of bengali muslim in India?

Wouldn't know, but not many would be willing to marry a 15 year old. Could land you in prison. West Bengal is pretty strict in implementing this law.

Either case I only brought this issue up, to point out that illegal Bangladeshis do travel back to Bangladesh every now and then, as claimed by Felanis father himself.

Mr Islam does not know why things went wrong. Like many from Kurigram, a desperately poor district in northern Bangladesh, he had made the crossing countless times before. He had paid 3,000 rupees ($65) to traffickers on the Indian side.

This is so funny.. You want to mean that child marriage does not happen in India? People will laught at your face. The main reason for this marriage it has been set up with one of his wives relative. N his father was in India since he was less then 12 means he is virtually grown and brought up in India. But still he is a poor like most other Indian. Yes crossing happens by giving money to BSF. Mostly Indian dalals get benifitted from it. After all it's a 3 to 5 billion usd business more then the Indian Bangladesh legal trade combined. Even a person who is living in the land of milk and ho
ney could not skape poverty ... Funny. Bottom line despite living most of his life in india could not rely or trust on the land of milk and honey.

For your info your BSF even did not spare the poor girls gold bangles even after killing her.
