NIA Detains 10 ISIS Suspects in Bengaluru, Hyderabad

Ahead of Republic day celebrations National Investigation Agency (NIA) has detained a total of 10 ISIS suspects in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

The suspected terrorists were allegedly planning to hijack the Republic Day parade at the National Capital.

A total of six suspects were detained in Karnataka's capital, Bengaluru and four in Hyderabad, the joint capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, earlier this morning.

Terror alerts have been announced in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

At least 25 terror suspects have been arrested across the country ahead of the Republic Day. NIA is also on the lookout for five other suspects.

Two brothers, who were Trinamool Congress supporters, were killed when a bomb exploded in their house, at Amodpur in Birbhum district on Friday.

Sheikh Hafizul (24) and his elder brother Shiekh Tariq Hussain (27) were killed on the spot when a bomb exploded in their house in the wee hours, Superintendent of Police Mukesh Kumar said.
