what is the meaning of tore?
It's a crap song. It's anti Muslim. written by the ahole Tagore in direct response to Muslim Bengal having a separate administration during British raj. This song is an affront to the nation and should be dumped.

what is the meaning of tore?
aapnar to aarar thekyao beshi joltase dekhtasi dada .....
And also consider this, the word bangladesh is not mentioned is any part of that song. What kind of a national anthem is that. The hindu babus of WB who couldn't see the empowerment of muslim E.bengali peasants( on whom they committed henious atrocities and treated worse than daily laborers) which would have been achieved by bengal partition in 1905. They went ballastic over it and then the Indian nationalist Tagore ( yes he was die hard Indian nationalist who shared ideology of communalism like deceptive congress) wrote this song. Does this represent our culture or our religion? Our unique identity seperate from WB (india). These same hyporcites voted for Bengal partition in 47 upon the proposal of United Bengal which would have been a muslim majority. They never believed in United bengal as sellout cheap mentality awami intellectuals ,who live in Indian mercy , propagates.
Dada na bole Bhai bol-le shotik bangla hoito. Barote theke ki Banglaw bhule galen naki.
This song was made protesting the Bengal partition from which we the people of east bangle greatly benefited . unfortunately this song made as the national song of bangladesh even sheik mujib wanted another song as national song (probably the ''dono donne puspe vora amder bosundhara '')
Bhalubasha means Pyar, tomar means tumhare, torey means liye and amar means mera??? is it correct if its not they please correct them so i can tell a girl and she wont understand i told her if she is not a bangali. LOL

Do majority of Bangladeshis dislike their national anthem?
Best song ever, gets me emotional and gives me goose bumps every time, fits as the national anthem perfectly and anyone who thinks otherwise needs to get their head checked.

No, they don't. I think most view it in the way many others view their own anthem. School kids may find it a chore to read it at school every day.
1. East Bengal is the precursor to modern day Bangladesh.
East Bengal was a Muslim Bengali state and so is its descendant, Bangladesh i.e. a Muslim Bengali state.
These are the two key defining features of our identity.
2. For this anthem which was written by a bigot who opposed the formation of East Bengal is like accepting an anthem by traitor Zaid Hamid of Pakistan who opposes the creation of Bangladesh.
Both Tagore and Zaid Hamid are anti Muslim-Bengali.
3. However it has been our anthem for under half a century now and perhaps not much can be done to change it. Other than that we can launch an intellectual campaign for it to be either modified or completely changed.
If it is modified it should include the word Bangladesh.
However if any such campaign is exclusively carried out by or dominated by fundamentalists, mollahs, jamatis, razakars then mainstream Bangladeshis (including me) will be repulsed.
4. The red circle on the Bangladeshi flag signifies the blood shed for the liberation of Bangladesh in 1971 and nothing to do with a Hindu god.
