That J-31 N.o31001 prototype almost flied two years more, doesn't SAC consider to produce N.o31002, N.o31003 etc prototypes to test like J-20 ?

This project is still full of mysteries !

J-20 will be around the size of J-16, albeit being slightly heavier (40 tons vs 38 tons).

Actually the other way around .. J16/Su27/Su30 series is too big as compared to other fighters .. Different roles, different solutions ..

J16 is a multi-role fighter which is similar with Su30, while J31 plays a combat fighter role like J10. How about J31 comparing with J10?

I like this new bird, which looks much agile than J20. After it's equiped with powerful enginees and radar system, this bird will definitely a blockbuster.
