New Pakistan

@Enigma SIG Let me define a "state" for you.

The state is a combination of guardians and stakeholders in Pakistan.

Who includes guardians? Chief of army staff, core commanders, Intelligence chiefs and their immediate subordinates, Heads of Planning commission, Finance division, State Bank, head of PAS and immediate officers, heads of ports and industry-related ministries, heads of education ministries, etc. Most of them are worthy of a bullet in the head right away, at the moment, corrupt to the core and a shame of the nation.

Stakeholders include the people who earn from Pakistan and who credit in tax, mostly businessmen. There is corruption in this category as well but mostly they are the affectees of the behavior of the group mentioned above.

Well I don't subscribe to this definition of a State being the sum of the people running it.
A State is a territory which has certain culture traits and traditions dissimilar from other States surrounding it.

Then Pakistan should give KPK to Afghanistan, Balochistan should be librated, Sindh should go to India and Punjab should be handed over to Khalistanis.
Absolute lack of very basics of "state" kinetics.

Perfect suggestions man. Hats off to your piece of writing.

We also need a desperate overhaul of our Financial Markets Structure and reach, Funds Disbusment infrastructure and Scruitny.

People always ignore this aspect. Everyone just focus on Administrative aspects. Our country is a capitalist open market economy.
Let me explain in layman terms.

The more money is pooled together and made available efficiently for businessmen and is properly utilized for business purpose the more economy grows.
The more money is blocled , hoarded , Made difficult for businesses , Misused in inefficient activities. The economy suffers.

Imagine 70% of national money supply is loaned out to businessmen who run highly value added businesses with it.
While true, majority of our government is paralyzed at the decision making level because of constraints in the Constitution. For Institutions to make a difference, they must be autonomous to a high level.

Not really. Culture / traditions can remain similar while having different territorial boundaries; there are many examples in the world. As long as people identify themselves with the Nation. Otherwise you could merge countries from Bangladesh to Turkey due to this :D

Does that mean if Iranis tomorrow decide to live with Pakistan, we will not accept them?

If they wanna join by their free will, by all means. Feeling should be mutual for a National Identity to exist.

Anyway, the thread is about the Constitution; not definitions of State.

Please feel free to create another thread and we can discuss scholarly articles about this until we die.

Pakistan is already on path of recovery in last 3.5 yrs but Political instability and compromised justice system is holding back IK. Install him as president with complete power for 10-20 years and he will turn the fate of this country.
The ship needs a good captain and a crew, if the crew are corrupt and unwilling then there is little the captain can do.

Economic progress is difficult if your poorest sections are not uplifted. That is where bulk of the subcontinent's population lies. Corruption is an obvious villain, but one must look at other issues in a philosophical sense to understand why we are where we are - The prime reason is that we don't respect the dignity of the poor. We are ok with them going to filthy public toilets, living in slums, using shitty public transport, eating in shabby places and what not. This is a self regenerating poverty circle.

What will it take for the owner of a small eatery to keep his premises and cutlery clean, and food hygienic. What will it take for a transport contractor to keep buses comfortable and not stuff them with people? Some dent in profits? Some increase in prices? But the question is who will bite the bullet? No one. Because they think they will become uncompetitive.

My previous business shut down because I was paying my blue collar workers 1.5 times the market wages, dignified accommodation, same food that I eat and 9 hour work shift. Meanwhile my competitors were paying market wages, provided shitty housing and nearly 16 hours work shit. Their ideal model was to make staff live in premises (offered as a damn perk!), after all who has energy to commute when you spend 16 hours at work. This is what I mean by not respecting dignity of poor.

There is no way left but to increase wages through legislation. It is short term pain but the whole market will adjust over time. This "low cost economy" bullshit needs to end. It is nothing to be proud of. It is just a nice coverup for "economy built on the dignity of poor". The whole society needs to wake up from their slumber to this fact and stop thinking that the government is going to solve all their problems. It can legislate (it still does) but it is up to us to follow.
