No, it isn't. The technology already exists, and its biggest application has been on the F-35, which uses a similar set up of multiple cameras + HMD to give the pilot 360 degree vision in all directions around the plane.

I guess people haven't been as interested in tanks lately compared to aerial platforms. This should put some energy back into it.
Elbit produce the helmet for the F-35, which is the same company that produce the Iron Vision.

Israeli, Elbit made, the same company that made the Iron VisionI don't have much details about this new system introduced in IDEF 2015 but What I have understood is that Iron Vision is more or less Land Vehicle 360 degree vision system similar to an Helmet Mounted Display system on helicopters enabling to control both turret and surveillance units. The concept of both Israeli and Turkish platform are similar but A nation who has knowledge about HMDU, can easily adopt such very similar technologies to land platforms as well.
