Gwadar district has 350,000 people and building a International airport costing $210 million is lot of money. They dont need Airbus A-380 runway. Looks like another fraud project.

Gwadar is being developed as a future mega city which will be a trade hub so naturally it deserves a international Airport

The main purpose of Gwadar port is for the transit route to china for goods.Near by port areas are not an industrial belt neither a populated area nor tourist flow and most places are dry with out much rain.So claiming gwadar as a mega city will not come fruitful unless pakistan becomes an industrial country.

all talks and no action, build that damn city now, allow industries to be setup there, move some banks head quarters, let the economic activity start...this country is in bad need of few mega cities. We cant develop Pakistan with only 3 big cities, with the size of population Pakistan should have at 30 economical hubs not just Karachi and Lahore.

No industrialist's prefer to start industry in a no man's land neither employees prefer to work.If that to happen road,rail,water,electricity have to be properly connected with rest of country and vicinity for good schools,hospitals, malls,decent restaurant's etc.If all these have to happen take not years but ages.

Its not confirmed. Could also look like this. It will be small because the population of the city is less than a million and economic activity is not to its full potential.
