This train boasts of new design light weight ICF coaches that are radically redesigned and have polycarbonate construction for lower weight and significantly improved aesthetics. The coach interior work has been done by Railway coach workshop at Bhopal (West Central railways). Some pictures of these swanky coaches.

Fog in winters is main culprit for many trains being canceled and many trains late so this needs to be looked into on priority

Fog Safety Device

we all know how fog throws out normal life out of gear during winters. Railways are no different and unfortunately due to low visibility in heavy fog, trains either run slowly or are cancelled outright, leading to great inconvenience to passengers.

Now IIT Kanpur and Indian railways have developed a locomotive roof mounted camera that helps locomotive driving staff during such conditions and improves visibility. This system in conjunction with Train protection and Warning system will help railways operate trains in low visibility conditions with complete safety.

This system must be commercially produced and installed in all trains specially in northern India

Its a trial project as of now and is being tested on New Delhi Allahabad Prayagraj express. Eventually this will be installed in phased manner on all locomotives.

Well dear suresh prabhu is one of the most efficient minister in present govt, hopefully he is able to turn around the railways this time

Indian Railways are changing for good..For a moment i really thought by the looks of the interiors its not Indian railways.

I hope the passengers are civilized enough to ensure they dont make it too dirty and damage things as seen in most other trains..

The fog vision systems is a very good addition..
@anant_s Bro, Check one very important system which a company called Kernex Micro System and Medha Servo drives makes.. Kernex manufacturers anti collision devices (ACD) for Konkan Railways Limited and then implements across India in multiple phases. Another company called Medha Servo Drives also does some new ACD Phase 2 work (which has a new name Train Collision Avoidance System) with Kernex if i am not mistaken. It also does signalling work to many other works for IR

Great. I hope in phased manner, they will replace existing bogies with these especially Sleeper and 3 tier AC ones.
