New Delhi invites Dhaka’s stake in dams on common rivers

1. A prosperous and peaceful Bangladesh is good for India.

A prosperous and peaceful India is good for Bangladesh.

2. The nations of western Europe fought for centuries then realized it was in all their interests to have peace and focus on economic trade and co-operation instead.

3. If India weakens/cripples Bangladesh ecologically it will devastate Bangladesh economically and socially. This is a recipe for future instability and disaster for India with 150 million angry Muslims right in the underbelly of India's second most volatile region, the north east (Kashmir being the first but far less populated and in some ways of far less strategic value).

Both governments should discuss and find a win-win solution that suits everyone.

Don't derail my question. Read the damn thread before bringing up your response.

On what count you brought up Chinese dam question? Its is indians who use Chinese dam as justification for their anti Bangladeshi act. So why are you taking queue on indian excuse and justification? Don't lecture answer the question first.

.
Awami League govt already proven to be indian stooge and deceived Bangladesh. Fact that a demented and submissive awami thug is talking of more talks shows his deeper submission towards india.

No, the dalals and rezakars are deceiving Bangladesh. Awamileague is the necessary evil until a better options emerges for us. Awamileague is trying to bargain with the Indians and taking the diplomatic path which any sane govt should do. In my opinion they should work harder and gain more for our country.

So the Chinese are not building dams on Brahmaputra? Does it matter where I've learned this? I'm worried about tipaimukh and now I know of these Chinese dams, I am worried about those too. Ajaira question kora bondho koren. hudai mukh noshto.

The Chinese are not asking us to invest in these dams and pretending that they are doing us a favour .....

That was not the point of my question bro. I didn't know about the Chinese dams. Just wanna know actually what's going on and what will be the impact of those dams.

news flash for you, it is awami league in power no one else. So no one but Awami league is playing indian dalali role. You must not be Bangladeshi otherwise you would have known that simple fact.

Awami League stooges destroyed Bangladesh river, canal, ecology and people livelihood with deception that there will be electricity and what is the latest news? Delhi Stalls Tripura Electricity Export to Dhaka.

Same thing with transit deception and many other things. And you are covering indian dalali as "bargain". That is in line with what a typical indian dalal would say.

"Chinese are building dams on Brahmaputra" that is indian excuse/justification, why are you using indian justification?

Our govt should follow the diplomatic path to get what we need. Where did you find any dalali statement in that? You're showing shades of ghatok-dalals. I am agaisnt building of the dam. And where did i deny that it's BAL's responsibility? WTH dude!

Your version of diplomatic path is submit to india, engage in worthless discussion while india builds dams like they did in Padma, Teesta and elsewhere. That is classic indian dalali.

.
Your version is diplomatic path is submit to india,
It's not my fault that you're incapable of interpreting simple facts. I've always said BAL should take a stronger approach with India.

That is classic indian dalali.
Though I am not, but malaunic rapists jamati der dalal howar che india'r dalal howa better.

Right we need a peaceful place. But our fault, there r lack of experts when we have to make plan or negotiate.
I told it before its time to move on wings of India and China.

The impact will be the same as the Indian dams but Indians apply different logic to the two situations ..... The main difference for Bangladesh is that not all rivers that run through the country come from China while all rivers in Bangladesh do actually pass through or originate in India .... In other words, the Indian dams will be far worse overall than the Chinese dams ......

India wants to be a regional super power and thus has to subdue countries like Bangladesh and curtail them from having an independent domestic and foreign policies.

India can do that by controlling the water supply and thus every action that Bangladesh takes must be viewed with the prism of what consequences it must have for India.
