@Nilgiri, my dear
@Nilgiri, I now remember how your General Chowdhry promised the press guys to meet in Lahore next morning and offered them to take morning tea together.
It did not happen only because of the troops of East Bengal Regiment (EBR) stopped Indian troops before crossing the BRB Canal near Lahore. Now, please, please enjoy the citation below on
1965 war:
"At this time, the 1st Battalion of the EBR was deployed in the defence of Lahore along the Bambawali- Ravi-Bedian canal, commonly known as BRB canal. They held their ground despite repeated Indian attacks. At the end of the war,
this regiment had the honour of being awarded the highest number of gallantry awards among all the regiments of Pakistan Army".
Note one point, the defender 1st Battalion of the EBR was just a newly recruited group immediately before that war. Now, your good guy
@dray / Rain Man wants to occupy us with your IA troops. Is he joking? He should ask General Choudhry who stopped him taking tea in Lahore.
Bangladesh troops are capable of compensating many shortfalls with bravery that your IA troops lack. They love to flee a battlefield at every opportunity. We did not flee in 1965 as well as 1971.
