Nepal PM Tweets Old Map after Meeting Raw Chief

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has softened after the visit of the Chief of Indian Intelligence Agency RAW to Nepal. The Prime Minister of Nepal has wished the people of his country by tweeting the old map on the occasion of Vijayadashami. It is considered a turning point in the map dispute, considering the change in the attitude of Nepal. However, India has not responded to this.

Sources say that India will keep an eye on the developments. India has already rejected the new map of Nepal, but India has never made strong statements about relations with Nepal. How permanent Nepal’s position is remains to be seen.

Controversy Rose After the New Map

Actually, the root of the latest dispute between Nepal and India is the new map of Nepal, in which Kathmandu claimed Indian territories. Nepal had released a new map in this map which described Lipulekh, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura as part of Nepal which is currently in Indian territory. It was also passed in Parliament. The Oli government’s attitude towards the incitement of China was constantly being talked about with India. Oli was surrounded by his own country over China’s interference.

His chair was also in danger.

Olly’s Meet With RAW Chief Raises Controversies

Meanwhile, Olly meets Raw chief and gets involved in a dispute in his own country. His own Nepal Communist Party has turned against this meeting. Many leaders of the ruling party have accused PM Oli of breaking diplomatic rules. Leader of the ruling party Nepal Communist Party Bhim Rawal said that the meeting between RAW chief Goyal and Prime Minister Oli was against diplomatic rules and it did not fulfill the national interest of Nepal.

Nepalese Prime Minister (PM) KP) Sharma Oli's Vijaya Dashmi greeting card featured the old official map of Nepal which had no show of Indian territories which Oli had recently claimed to be Nepal's, sparking controversy in the Himalayan nation, reports Indian Express.

The said greeting card featured the old map, a photo of PM Oli and the national emblem of Nepal.

The greeting card evoked backlash from the Nepalese opposition which criticised PM Oli of backtracking on the issue and undermining the national consensus on the territorial issue. However, PM Oli's press advisor Surya Thapa tried to push the case that the said map on the greeting card was the new one and that the new areas were visible on it because of small size.

The development comes just days after PM Oli had held a meeting with Indian intelligence agency Research & Analysis Wing's chief Samant Kumar Goel at his residence. Further, days later, Indian Army's Chief General MM Naravane is also scheduled to visit Nepal.

It should be noted that the controversy over the use of the old map on the greeting card comes merely six weeks after PM Oli had ordered the withdrawal of school textbooks which included the new map.

Its over now. I hope he come in long term senses now.

If anything your arrogant and feral govt has probably made it worse as usual.

If this news is true and Oli will soften his stance, then im sure Nepali citizens will see it as a very obvious blackmail or threat coming from India. Once you start directly targeting another country's democratically elected leader as a matter of state policy then any sympathy to your argument which you may have had is pretty much dead.

Update: Fake news apparently to absolutely nobodys surprise

He’ll be booted out of power now. The public don’t like Indian lackeys.

Not proud of the reality but you are right in this comment. India has direct influence in politics of Bangladesh, Nepal, Srilanka and Maldives.. anti India government can't survive long if India wants to get it booted out..

Khalida was anti India, and her political career is ruined,

Rajapaksa tried to be too comfortable with Chinese and he was boot out by Vikramasigha. He again only came back as he melted down this time..

Same was the case with the ex PM of Maldives

That is not true. Indian policy is REACTIVE in nature.

Khalida was in bed with pakistan, so .....

Rajapaksa was initially in bed with China, so .....

Maldives dictator was in bed with China , so.......

Mahatir was in bed with pakistan, so ......

India only acts to protect its interest. Its does not act to subvert democracy or rule of law.

Trump is anti China and anti pakistan, so howdy Modi and Ahmadabad Jalsa for him.
